New Pam 722 running to fast?

I just received my first Panerai, a 722 3 days ago. P9010 hacking movement. It's running about +9 spd .
My timing doc. That came in my manual shows a average of 1.5 spd. Or 5.5 spd. Can't read the language. This is dated March 26th 2018. I purchased my watch on 4-14-2021. So it has sat for 3 years since it's manufacture.

My question is, Does Panerai movements need time to settle down? If so,, how long and? And if not, Is +9 normal for a 9010?.

Mine is +\- 2 but hear some do take time

Mine is +\- 2 but hear some do take time, see below:

https://blog.toolwatch.io/watch-tips...hanical-watch/

Here are the three options that we can consider:

Your watch is losing time (between -20spd and -10spd):
In this case, you are looking to gain more seconds per day. The recommendation is to lay the watch flat for a few hours so that the dial is put uppermost.

Losing time is usually considered as the worse scenario as this will get you late all the time and you don’t want that.

Your watch in running a bit too fast (between +10spd and +25spd):
Here, you are looking to lose a few seconds per day in order to compensate. You will there need to put the watch vertically on the case side, with the crown facing downwards.

Your watch is running way too fast (above +25spd):
Put your watch vertically on the case size as well, but here with the crown on top. This action will help you slowing down the watch.

Thanks for "the" response. Don't know what happened, But it has settled down already to about +5. I'm glad. If it stops here then I'm fine with that, but hopefully it will settle on down to +2.

You should figure out it’s slowest position and rest it in that position overnight. The Panerai document indicates the slow position is resting it on its side with the crown facing up.

I use a timegrapher, so I can really know what the best resting position is when leaving the watch idle. for me, it is a very good tool.

a + 3s. / d, with the crown up, on my Panerai Venti

+9 is a bit high and the 9011 here does need a few days to settle down when she's been resting for a few weeks. Just for the heck of it you could demag it. My Bvlgari Octo was +9 or so a day when I got it. Always was the same +9 daily so we're good, yet... Someone else suggested I demag it, and since I have one here... It now runs +2 a day. So give it try, can't hurt anything. Hope this helps.
