Weber Genesis II LX here. Had it for a few years now and has served me well so far. But I want a Lynx with those infrared burners!

Had a Gensis Weber for about 7 years and just sold it as we re did the backyard and put in a bbq counter and grilling area. So i upgraded to a Weber Summit 600 series. I too use the bbq grill all year round. And our winters here can get pretty damn cold, -30 to -40C and I am outside grilling. Never a problem with Weber.

Bought mine in 2010.

I replace my cover about every year to every other year and just replaced my flavor bars. Looks like it could go another 20 or so years.

Forget the weber!

Get a nice Kalamzoo Hybrid Gas Grill. Charcoal and gas all in one. You just may need to start saving a bit for it.

Thanks,

I looked at the kalamazoo stuff years ago and decided to go a different direction.
I got a smoker and a gas grill top tier of each one and saved many thousands of dollars.

When I redid the backyard last year we put in a Hestan 42". It is by FAR the best grill i've ever used.

https://home.hestan.com/product/42-h...uilt-in-grill/

I have a Weber Summit as well in the mountains and that's not too shabby either.

12 year old Weber Genesis still going strong even after 5 moves. Picked up a Traeger a couple of years ago which gets a fair amount of use.

Yes sir, I went with the green egg for smoking originally and ended up never using my gaser for any high temp cooks etc. The big green egg does it all for me.

I cook steaks, to brisket, to pork butts, all the way down to pizza, bread, bagels.

It is awesome how versatile it is and I really enjoy starting it up and the process almost like meditation for me. My little one also loves cooking with daddy lol so it's been a very enjoyable experience.

Sadly I've been relying on a pellet smoker, need to move on from that LOL Want a multi-functional unit but don't want to spend 2K-6K on a Memphis so might be looking to copy you my friend!

I've been using a Weber for years and it's a great grill but I just recently upgraded to Lynx. It's a lot of money for a grill but to me it's like the Rolex of grills. (Like my affordable watches) my Weber performed it's duties very well but the build quality and features of the Lynx really set this thing apart.

On a side note I switched to natural gas grills about 10 years ago and it's the best grilling decision I ever made. Run a gas line out to the grill and never pick up, drop off, buy, lug around, or run out of propane ever again. We bought our new house 3 years ago and in the top five of our "to do" list was "run gas line to outside grill"

Had a Weber Genesis till I did the outdoor kitchen. I went with “Blaze” for my built in and it is the best grill I’ve ever used. They do make propane grills as well.

I have a Webber summit at my cabin and a genesis at home. Both work great! Also both are natural gas.

HI! I understand that there're many owners of Weber Genesis...

But I'm thinking of buying a Weber Summit grill. It's grill with rotisserie. Have any of you already bought one? What pros can you say about it?

Welcome to TRF!
There were a couple mentions already of the Summit grill.
See posts #18 and 32.
Me? I own a Genesis and it’s rock solid.

Same here. Side burner is very handy and with 3 burners you can generate some serious temps. Outstanding gas grill.
