How to get banned?> Infraction points

Im not just asking how to be but Im a little curious about the ban point system.

What I can see so is 12 points the limit, right?

Is there a point list?

Lets say I got 6 points, will it be there forever or did it be erased after some time?

Can only one moderator ban a member, or is it a common decision?

Im not try to start something, Im just a little curious how it works in detail.

I think it's 6 infraction points the first time. The decision to ban someone is a collective one, I think......except when it comes to me!! One bastid mod bans me at his own whims and fancy!!

If you have points, you will be notified by the mods and they will appear in your profile.

I think a referral is when a new person signs on and puts your name down as a reference......like he's been introduced to this forum by you.

These are the infraction rules on TRF but all deliberate spammers now get instant ban.But for say inappropriate language just a warning PM could be sent.If after a warning it was repeated, then the appropriate infraction would be given to that member. And yes any mod could administrate a instant ban,but that instant banning must have been for something really inappropriate on the forum. But if members abide to the very simple rules stated in all forums and when you sign up to join TRF. The infraction system or the need to ban anyone should not have to be used its that simple.

Actually the limit is 10 points, but it is not as clear cut as this, and each case is dealt with on its merits, however once 10 points is reached and those 10 points are active then a member may be considered for or subject to banning.

Yes but there is not an exhaustive list, if particular circumstances dictate a tailored infringement may be issued.
Inappropriate Language 2 points expiring in 1 Month(s)
Failure to follow the Sales Forum Rules 3 points expiring in 3 Month(s)
Insulted Other Member(s) 5 points expiring in 1 Month(s)
Spammed Advertisements 5 points expiring in 6 Month(s)
Antagonistic behaviour/conduct 6 points expiring in 6 Month(s)
Failing to heed moderation warning/advice 6 points expiring in 6 Month(s)
Provocative behaviour towards Mod/Admin 6 points expiring in 6 Month(s)
Unappreciated argumentative conduct 6 points expiring in 6 Month(s)
Usurping moderation authority 6 points expiring in 6 Month(s)
Custom Infraction - these can be determined at the discretion of the moderator according to the circumstances.
Further it should be noted that any of the above infractions can be issued with no points at all and in those instances they are effectively warnings only.

Yes, after the period of months express for the relevant infraction from it being issued it will expire.

This depends on the circumstances of each case, and is an area I will endeavour to clarify shortly.

I, for one, am glad that the system exists, and that the mods have shown that they aren't afraid to enforce it.
I've always said that this is the classiest place on the internet, and I think that the mods are working hard to keep it that way.

every now and again someone will join who really upsets things, swearing talking about his fake, insulting others, and magically that person disappears...

great job ...keep it up

I'm surprised you didn't start a thread about regulation and your hour hand not aligning properly and your date window being on the wrong side!
