Congrats! My GSP Elsie was a great dog! She passed away last summer in her sleep at 11 years old from an aneurysm. She was our family dog but her and I had a special bond. When she looked at you her eyes showed trust, loyalty and love. Post some pics of your new pup!

My doxies can be moody at times...

The fat one is 13 and the skinny one is 2.

Basset Hounds. Love them. Most easy going laid back dogs I’ve had. Great personalities. The English Springer Spaniel livens things up! Gotta have a bird dog.

I don’t have a dog but in always liked bulldogs. If I were to get a dog it would be some kind of bull dog.

Rottweiler! I had one named Axel. He was a 120lb beast. he was actually a teddy bear, but once I popped my 3 year old on the butt and he almost came unglued on me.

In order of appearance in my last ~40 years:

Golden Retriever

Mixed breed, maybe small Lab Rottie cross?

Mixed breed Chihuahua Pekingese type

Bulldog

Bulldog

Labrador

Currently two Labradors, 3 and 4 years old. Quite a handful, but fantastic personalities.

Black Labs. We’ve been lucky to spend time with and care for 3 labs over 27ish years. Part of the family. Cody, Romeo, and now Brody. Brody is the best, here’s a couple of pics.

Right? My wife was playing with my cousin’s Great Dane, and it barked at her. Our Rott literally jumped on that Dane’s back and went to work. Intense protectors.

Thanks. It’s been just over three years since we lost our lab girl Belle. She was almost 15. I’m really excited to pick up my GSP boy next Saturday. I’ve always been a big fan of the GSP breed.

You're right about that. My Daisy was a wonderful companion. I still miss her. Sadly she died at only 8y/o. The ONLY reason I wouldn't get another is because they're too short and heavy to jump into the truck by themselves and my back isn't up for the task. She loved going for rides and I'd lift her in and out of the truck each time. Good stuff.
