The LB was my first and only Rolex that I wore daily for 18 years. I thought I would never let go of it, mostly for sentimental reasons.
I did end up trading it in 2020 with no regrets. I now own 8 Rolexes including the BLNR on jubilee and for me and my lifestyle it’s hands down one of my favorites in my collection. I’ve been fortunate enough to acquire all my pieces through the AD so the secondary prices don’t really come into play in my case…

BLNR is more timeless.

thanks all for the inputs. I decided to follow my heart for batgirl.
That being said, I am not going to take the grey market. I will wait for AD.
The premium in grey is not justified.

Had both - BLNR overall, but the lugs are way better on the new subs.

I have both. I was lucky to be able to pick up the Bluesy while waiting for the GMT, which I always thought I’d prefer once I got it. Now I have the choice, nine times out of ten I pick the Bluesy out of the box to put on though….

Bat girl would be my choice.

BLNR, but I sure wouldn't pay the grey market prices. You are making the right choice. Good luck.

For me the Sub as I don't like having to swirl the hour hand up to 15 times to set the date properly. No need for the complication. If I needed multiple time zones, the answer might be different. I much prefer the deeper water resistance of the Sub. But of course, wear what you like!!

Bluesy or Batgirl

It’s a tough choice, but I think I’d go with the Bluesy. Also, if I were going to get a GMT, I think I’d finally break down and get a watch winder. I like to rotate between several watches, and I think setting a GMT watch every time I wanted to wear it would be a PITA.

So true. I sold a Speedy Racing 44 for that reason. Setting the date was too annoying, up to 360 hour hand jumps forward or backward, insane. I quit doing it after a while, until I got rid of it.

which one should I take?
My brain tells me Bluesy because MRSP is much higher than Batgirl, but my heart goes for Batgirl.

Or I should wait to hear from AD (which I have been waiting for more than 3 months, I know I am impatient )

Is this gmluxurywatches lol

When it comes to Rolex, it's always steel sports over tt/pm.

That's a tough one.

I think at the end of the day, you're just going to have to close your eyes and see which one fits in better with your lifestyle, activities, etc. The good news, though, they're both incredible watches and you just can't go wrong with either.

I have a BLNR on blue rubber to add a little more personality. It’s nice, but kind of boring. My wife thinks anything Rolex and YG is tacky but there something about the bluesy that’s calls to me like a blonde’s siren song…..

I would go GMT. The big ass clasp on the new sub is a complete turn off. So is the white text on the dial verses the gold on the previous

I agree. Batgirl and Panda are the worst. Seems like people new to collecting Rolex use nicknames the most. I will admit I only knew the Day Date as “President” in the early 80s when I bought mine so I shouldn’t be surprised…

BLNR "seems" to be on it's way out (some saturation, and also a very close refresh from MK1 doesn't help). Just my opinion as I do some trading.
