If you don't fall in love with this clasp, then you are lost my friend.

New member. Great thread. Have spent the morning reading through and enjoying the photography. Officially on the hunt for a 126660 JC. Believe that I found one.
Happy Thanksgiving all.

New member too. Recently started considering this model therefore I'm here.

Any idea how is waiting time comparing to other steel models?

Welcome to the forum
It's virtually impossible to tell in the current market/environment.
We've never seen anything like this situation in our living memory, nor could anyone have forecast it unless they were puting the idea forward (tongue in cheek)

Good luck in the hunt

All, this is my first post in the forum. I have been reading through this forum a lot for long though and have gathered a lot of knowledge from the experiences of the fellow members.
After a lot of deliberation, I just picked up my first Rolex, a Deepsea D-Blue reference 126660 earlier this week after a long wait. I have quite an appreciation for the watches across the Rolex lineup but somehow was always inclined towards the James Cameron.
It’s been on my wrist for a couple of days now and I find it quite comfortable. I have a Panerai PAM312 and an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean in my collection so larger and top heavy watches are not a foreign affair to me. I hope to get a good use out of this one.

An excellent choice for a Rolex, with it being the pinnacle of the divers which are offered by the brand

Well said, it’s a work of engineering art.

My 126660 gets lots of “bottom time” beneath the surface as intended. Not a desk diver at all

Tiger Woods wearing his DSSD yesterday in broadcast booth at PGA tour. Got to say he is a DSSD die hard. Most celebrities always changing watches. Tiger always has the DSSD.

TW, despite everything, is a man of focus, commitment and sheer will. He dug a hole that many people would never have crawled out of. He could wear anything. He could wear what trendy and abysmally dumb celebrities are wearing because of hype. He could wear watches based on the dial color instead of their engineering and appearance.

Yet he choses DSSD. One of us, one of us.

Why do I think of "Le Grand Bleu", when I have this on my wrist?
