For me the JC watch would be the holy grail if they had a Sub crystal, flat with cyclops.
The dome was the only thing I did not like about owning that watch. |

I was tempted to put one Black Rubber B on one end and the Pacific Blue Rubber B on the other, to match the two halves of the dial... but thought it might be too much!

Have had it since the start of March so not too long either. When I first got it it seemed so heavy and tall, like I was super worried about hitting door frames and stuff with it, but now that I’ve basically been wearing it daily for a couple months I’ve gotten used to it and it’s really nice except when I go to rotate into one of my other watches they all feel so light and flimsy by comparison lol. NO NO ! you made the RIGHT choice. i LOVE that blue strap. The way it matches the blue of the dial is fabulous ! If you are going to wear it with a strap That lovely color blue is the only one to use on it.... unless an owner doesn't like that color. Its just SOOOO beautiful !

I actually use to have another big boy.... the Panerai BRONZO ! that one is 47mm and REALLY hefty. I have to say i did get some people staring at the watch. I wore it once to a doctors appointment and my doctor was paying MORE attention to my watch than to me. LOL he couldn't take his eyes off it.. Probably because i am girl and have a 6 inch wrist... and really that guy was actually just a little too big for me.... so maybe it looked a smidge odd. But it was such a lovely bronze and i had a green stingray strap on it that matched the dial exactly. it was stunning. hahaha. whatever. i dont care.... i love a big watch. Enjoy yours ! |

FYI seems to be a LOT of listings in the past few months for basically brand new watches being re-sold pretty close to retail, ex-tax. I'm in the market and spoke to a jeweler who had one literally brand new that a client bought form an AD in the hope's he'd curry favor for a GMT and just turned it out at a small loss to be sold.
Thinking the 13 coming out is putting some pressure on the 12 (I personally like the 12 better as I actually dive with my watches). |

Is there a good breakdown on the MK I-III changes on the DSSD? I know the band got 1mm wider? Are there some text changes and crystal differences too?
Thanks! |

I am just about to pull the trigger for a black dial DSSD
On a recent visit to the AD I tried the DSSD first, then the SD43 and the lady there advised that the DSSD might be a bit too big for my small 6.25 wrist and also quite thick, so it would be better to get the SD43 to be more safe. The DSSD is a watch I’m really in love with for years and years and I would really like to see if anyone else has it on a similar wrist size. I read actually through the whole thread and there was a guy who mentioned that he has 6.25 inch wrist and it fits fine but there was no photo uploaded unfortunately. Anybody who can help or advise please? Thanks |

I have a wrist that's over 1" bigger than yours and my 116660(which wears bigger than later references due to the end links) is my absolute limit under any circumstances, but mine is a daily wearer and I have fairly large hands. Make of that what you will, but I imagine you could get away with the DSSD as a weekend watch. IMO For comparison, I have contemplated picking up the DSC to add to my collection of 2 DSSDs, though I believe I could only wear it whilst getting away on my boat for a long weekend or a week or so to scratch the itch without looking like a bit more of an oddball than I already am. Take you time to decide and don't get caught up in it. It took me 3 years to take the punt on a DSSD and it worked out just fine for me. Your experience may not be the same. |

Do it, go with your heart. If you’ve wanted a DSSD for years and you’ve tried it on and like it…don’t listen to the SA. Just get what you like and feels right. Worst case is you end up selling it after a while. Best case is you made the best watch purchase decision ever. Go for it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

definitely not for everyone
tried one on ten years ago and passed.
tastes change tho. got offered this one last year and i love it! it's overkill, it's capable, it has presence, love the type face on the ring, it's got heritage. it's like two watches in one. it can go 2 miles deep and i can't go 10 ft deep. i also like that it's not for everyone |

It’s been my partner all week while in Anguilla. Takes being caked in sand and salt in stride, then washes up nicely for fancy dinners with wifey. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
