Neat because it's rare, but I prefer the look of the normal White / Black.

In the close up picture, the hands on the left and right sub dials are different. The left has a squared off end and the right is pointed.

Is that normal for a Daytona?

Not a fan of the lack of contast from an aesthetic standpoint.

The fact that it was owned by Clapton would put me off buying it no matter how much I liked it.

Good eye, the three sub dials hands on mine, same vintage, but not albino, are all pointed.

According to the article, it sold at auction in 2003 for 505K. I'm assuming that although "slowhand" owned it at one time, he's not the current owner. Anything associated with him has an extremely inflated price. Some of his guitars sold at auction hold the records for the highest prices ever paid, just under 1M for blackie. It will be interesting to see what the final price is, and how the provenance affects final sale price.

The watch isn't my bag. I am sure it will sell to a collector though.
