Here's the latest I could find on BT.

You all enjoy!
That's still a pretty impressive haul. My whiskey guy used to call me whenever they got something interesting to see if I wanted it. a Now I mostly have to time my requests with a decent wine purchase to open the magic bourbon closet.

Still far easier to get a bottle of Pappy at retail than trying to get my AD to call when there's a spare Hulk or Daytona in the vault. Actually, I've long wished that this forum had a barter tab for trading all the things that are highly allocated. Bet it would be quite active. And a fun read.

All this shortage and price hiking makes me appreciate Scotch all the more. Latest from across the pond!

It’s been a while since I’ve had EC. I liked quite a bit, I’d pay retail all day for it, but it’s not worth a mark up. Traditional bourbon up front, it builds in the palate and ends with spice and pepper. Feels a little hotter then 94 proof, in a good way.

Ya that’s probably the best I’ve seen on this thread. But I’m strictly a scotch guy.

A couple of new additions to the collection. I was going to try Ardbeg 10, but there were a bunch of bottles left and only one of these Dalmore 15 bottles, so I figured I’d try that first. Regarding the Wilderness Trail, this is my first foray into barrel proof rye whiskey. I popped it open last night, really tasty, and quite the departure from my comfort zone ryes.

For the more educated. How is this rye 56% ABV and 140 proof?

Would have to assume that’s a misprint? Is it hot as hell? 140 would be hazmat hot.

I would assume it’s 112 proof

Yeah it feels like about 112, nowhere near as hot as my Stagg Jr at 131.9, even accounting for the rye sweetness. Still trying to figure out how they came up with 140.
