<<< NHL Playoff Thread >>>

All right puck heads ... who do you like to go all the way?

My heart of course says "Leafs forever" ... athough the year I was born they stopped winning cups

My head says Carolina but the Eastern conference is fraught with danger including those pesky Bruins ... who I love to hate.

Who do you like?

Already LOVE this thread. Thanks for creating it!

I'm an Oilers guy due to Draisaitl (I'm German)...also would love to see the Devils go far due to all the Swiss guys.

I'm impressed with the leafs being able to beat the hell out of the Bolts...

Too early to tell. Goal tending will be the key.

Tampa is pretty beat up and losing Cernak was huge. And their goalie looks ordinary.

Not sure Toronto is tuff enough. Boston is showing signs of wear and tear as well.

Denver is not the same team as last year and if Tampa had Point I doubt that Denver would have won. This year they lost too many good players so I don't think they'll make it far.

Would love the Oilers to go all the way.

Tampa shot themselves in the foot in game 3 & 4. I can't see us winning the next 3 but they have plenty of experience in pressure games.

Tampa just needs tonight and go from there.

2 kids that hung around the house and played hockey with my son are in the playoffs. A Devil and a Maple Leaf. The Devil just got his first Rolex not long ago. Got a picture of it texted to me. Just saying since this is a Rolex forum.

To me they look tired. The last 2 games in the 3rd period they started dumping and flipping the puck out of the zone instead of carrying it, and they totally lost their momentum.

Toronto just kept coming back in with it and the last part of both 3rd periods they came back and dominated and scoring goals. And Tampa just kept dumping it out hoping to run the clock. Didn't work.

Any time a team starts just dumping the puck out they look to be in trouble.

Great game last night. I'm a beginner hockey fan. You guys can't lose this series. We already fleeced Denver last year with the Wilson trade.

Anybody and I mean anybody but the Leafs...sorry Brian. There are some great series going on right now. I am impressed with the Devils working their way through the Rangers. I think the Kraken are soon to crack under pressure. Oilers I hope can get through and most hockey people have Dallas as the dark horse.

My team is playing golf and working on their summer tans. Next year?!

Yes, I live in Toronto, we haven't had a Hockey team since 1967.....

Growing up, my father was the President of CCM, so had a chance to meet all the old Hockey greats, and then they all left Toronto for the next 55 years....and still haven't come back.

We've dug ourselves a hole. Avs won the statistical battle on Wednesday and still got outplayed by Seattle. They beat us to every puck. Cale is back tonight! Rather than get a new quarterback fresh from the AD, we went Gray and overpaid. Hoping Russ gets back on track with our new coach.

So many players missing from last years cup run. Missing at least 4 great players from last year. I can't see them going far this year. The salary cap makes it so difficult to keep teams together.

Yeah. It seems like Seattle was a lot quicker to the puck the last game. On the football side, I believe Russ will play a lot better than last year. Payton is a no BS coach. No more personal offices and coaches for Russ in the building.

Very true. Joey has done a good job managing the salary cap IMHO, however there is only so much you can do.

Also love your location nod to my favorite 1960s sitcom

The Beverly Hillbillies was a classic.

Good for them. It's been a long and difficult road.

I've watched almost every Leaf game this year and they are the best team they've been for years. A lot of good pieces added at the deadline.

Finally Dubas got the message that you can't win in the playoffs with soft goal scorers and nothing else.

Two Canadians die and end up in Hell. Satan decides to pay them a visit, so he walks into their room and sees them talking and laughing. Confused, he asks them why they're happy.

They tell him, "Well, we're so sick of the cold where we're from, and this place is nice and toasty."

Satan, annoyed, storms away and goes to Hell's boiler room, where he turns up the temperature.

He goes back to the Canadians' room, along the way being begged by all sorts of people to put the heating back down. He enters the room to see the Canadians having a barbecue. Furiously, he asks them what they're doing.

"Well, we can't pass up this wonderful weather without getting out the barbecue!"

Satan realizes he's been doing the wrong thing. He goes to the boiler room and turns it down until it's at a colder temperature than ever seen on earth.

He knows he's won now, so he goes back to the Canadians' room, only to see them jumping up and down in excitement. He shouts at them in fury, "WHY ARE YOU STILL HAPPY?!?!?!"

They look at him and shout at the same time, "Hell froze over! That means the Leafs won!"
