It’s peak omega to celebrate the 45th anniversary.

I don’t remember seeing many 45th birthday cards or wedding anniversary cards in the shops lately

Coming next year: the special edition Ploprof 53rd anniversary model in grade 2 titanium and white gold.

That being said it’s quite a nice model but anything that dear needs a good bracelet on it.

I actually just said aloud "Ooooooooh" when I saw your picture. Stunning!

The Snoopy is a beautiful timepiece and one of my two bucket list watches, but truthfully, the Daytona would get more wrist time.

So my choice, Daytona.

I prefer my high end watches not have cartoon characters on them.

2- Bracelet: Daytona has a better and more secure bracelet. Snoopy come with a leather strap that’s too stiff. Most people, including myself, buy a bracelet. The omega bracelet is very comfortable and won’t scratch at easily as the Rolex bracelet. Rolex has a better micro adjustment system. Rolex wins in the bracelet category.
3- movement: Daytona is self winding vs Omegas manual wind. It’s pretty tough to wind the snoopy. Omega has a great historic movement but it’s gets annoying winding it every other day. The snoopy case back is super cool. My daughter loves looking at it.
4- pushers on Rolex are annoying. Omegas chronograph is more practical and user friendly.
5- both have bad lume
6- dial: Daytona has a boring white dial. Snoopy wins here. Snoopy has a silver dial. It appears white under different lighting.
Hope this helps a little!
I agree with everything you wrote. But Omega needs to up the wr to 100m then they truly have a a datona killer.

Have both, love both. Difficult choise.
Put a speedmaster bracelet on the Snoopy and it's good to go :)

If only one watch possible, I would take the daytona (white).

The Omega Snoopy Award editions are definitely up there. Would have to give the edge to the Daytona because of the OEM bracelet vs. OEM strap on the Snoopy.

You comment below is one for the books, though; well said.

The Omega Speedmaster is known for NASA testing and approving / allowing astronauts to use their mechanical timepieces during missions. If you want a modem Speedy, something a bit more special, how about one that shows man's first step on the Moon?

Beautiful . The 50th Anniversary Apollo 11 Moon Landing limited edition. Only problem this was difficult to get too although it's limited to 6969. Still trades well over retail.

I can't understand why they don't make it 100m standard on all Speedmasters. Omega did it on the 50th Anniversary 1957 Speedmaster, and without needing a screw down pusher like the Rolex needs to with the Daytona.

I have a black dial 116500 and 7 Speedmasters in my collection. I passed on the Snoopy 50th. It looked too much of a novelty watch. Now, the Snoopy 45th I would take over an 116500 in a heart beat.

They offer a Canopus 321 Speedy, and a platinum 321 Speedy. I opted for the 321Plat.

The Speedmaster has won me over for a Chrono, otherwise its a Rolex every time over an Omega.
My 3 most worn watches would be my DD 40, SD4K and 3861 Speedmaster
SD4k - Ahh! Now we are talking!
