A grail piece is different for everyone and doesn't necessarily need to be super expensive or unattainable. Bluesy is an icon. Congrats and wear it in good health.

Beautiful … congratulations.

I had an 11 Series “Flat Blue” Dial, and now have the 12 Series Bluesy.

I can remember, from about age 18 on up, always stopping by the Rolex store, and staring at the Two Tone Blue Submariners … maybe that makes it my Grail Watch … I never really thought about it.

I do know that it is my favorite watch in my collection.

Enjoy yours.

I had the same experience with the tt datejust champagne dial. I bought it again in the 41 version a few years ago :)

Sweet man, congrats!

I absolutely love my Bluesy. It still feels new to me (got it 7 months ago to celebrate the birth of our daughter Julia. It will be hers one day).

It just makes me smile!

Awesome watch! I've said it before, and no offense to those that own 5-digit two tones, but once Rolex went to the ceramic bezels and solid bracelets the two tone sport models really POP. I would have got my SD43 in blue had it been an option.

Congratulations. TT is not my thing but all that matters is what you like. Don't apologize for your iPhone pics. I'm pretty sure that 90% of us wouldn't notice that these weren't shot using a top notch camera.

I know not a grail status watch for most if not all here, but it is certainly for me :) Pardon the iPhone pics..
Congratulations, OP. It's a fantastic looking watch. Super fun to wear. Lush and cheerful.

I can relate with the "oh my God" first impression. My jaw dropped at the AD the first time I saw one. That dial is incredible. The gold and blue combination really works.

Totally worthy of grail status to me. One could easily lose perspective but the reality is not everyone can easily spend $15k on one at the AD, let alone $18-22k in the secondary market. It's a lot of cash for a watch.

Agreed, the bright blue dial in the DJ / OP / YM can have that greyish washed out reflection. Not the TT royal blue Sub.

No in the metal it’s a stunner! My AD has an exhibition one and whenever I stop by I just find myself staring at it. Have a couple other pieces farther up my wish list, but I’m hoping to make this my present for the big 4 0 in a couple years.

Congrats again on yours!!

First, it doesn’t matter what your grail is, an OP or a platinum Daytona, when you obtain it, that watch is the most special in the world. Second, the bluesy is an AMAZING and classic model, many congrats and wear it in good health!
