That Serif font was rare. There is no logic in which series it appeared. Probably just a random thing just like the small dial font differences, huh.

Apparently there were
Mark 1 non serif untill 92
Mark 2 Serif from 93 to 02
Mark 3 Serif from 02 to 03
Mark 4 Serif from 03 to 07

I have a collection of serif inserts and I love how they look vs recent non serif / servcie inserts
