Depends on model, but I lean slightly towards Oyster. Jubilee is just a bit too "obviously Rolex" to wear in all situations.
But isn't the benefit of a steel GMT the fact that you don't really have to choose? I guess just get both. That's what I did for my 16710 anyway. |

How do you like your GMT watches?
I have 3 GMTs…. BLNR, BLRO and VTNR. The BLNR came with jubilee, the others with Oyster.
I bought an Oyster at the RSC in London and now all three are on Oyster. Jubilee bracelet is safely put away to be rotated! |

Just based on look, the Oyster all day every day. HOWEVER, from owning both, the Jubliee is much more comfortable AND hides scratches WAY better than the Oyster.

I’d take whichever is offered due to it being a PIA to acquire these from ADs. I got lefty on oyster and purchased a jubilee a few months later. I’ll switch when I get bored.

Prefer the GMT’s in Jubilee as it makes them unique in the Rolex Sports lineup. Wish I could put my CHNR on jubilee.

Before I owned a Jubilee bracelet I would have said Oyster bracelet. Now it is Jubilee.

Definitely oyster for BLNR… and throw in one of those 31XX bullet-proof movements while you are at it…

On Rolex I kind of like the jubilee. On other brands oyster seems to work best.

Oyster for me. So many decades of seeing it as the primary bracelet on the GMT Master line it just looks and feels right to me.

First poll I've seen where the Oyster is not far behind.
I guess if you want more attention, jubilee it is. For a more low key look, oyster is the way to go. |

I’d like the look of the oyster more if it were still brushed. The jubilee is far more comfortable and gives a better fit though.

Back in 2000 or so I was never a fan of them, figure it was due to my limited budget and I was into the sub and couldn’t imagine why anyone would not get a sub, plus back then they had the twinlock crown which was a non issue but when you’re hyperfixating on things why not make a big deal of that
Now I really like classic historic watches and to me the red and blue is one of the most classic - I’m also biased as I have one and love it even though I don’t wear it nearly as much as other watches, mostly because setting the date is not as easy |

I always thought that the rolex gmt came originally on oyster when first released but have read and watch videos some saying jubilee was the bracelet of the OG GMT’s. Would like to get some clarification on this just for reference.

The GMT is my favorite modern movement from Rolex. Unfortunately, I can’t get a great fit. The Daytona fits and looks best on my wrist.
I wish I could get the GMT in a Daytona case and bracelet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
