Selling 126719 BLRO to fund Patek 5170G

Hello,

Curious on thoughts of selling a WG Blue 126719 BLRO to fund a White Dial Patek 5170G Chronograph. Would have to add around $7k to complete the deal.

Other watches in my collection include a 126610LV and Moonwatch.

Thanks as always

I think I’d keep the BLRO.

Both are great watches. Gmt is a stunner and the 5170 is beautiful. Seems like you can more easily get the 5170 later? You can’t go wrong honestly. I like chronographs so would do the trade.

The rest of your watches seems to be on the sportier/bracelet side of things. Would the 5170G fit in?

It sounds like a good alternative and takes your collection to the next level.

5170G Patek is an amazing and beautiful watch! Would be a tough call for me, as the blue dial WG BLRO is also a beautiful one. I think I might lean towards keeping the BLRO. Good luck on whatever you decide.

As much as I like Patek, I don’t think I would do this deal. I think it’s the white dial, just don’t find it appealing. If your heart is set on the watch then go for it!

I'd definitely do it. 100%.

The 5170G is a stunning next level piece.

Using the price rise of the Rolex to get into a Patek is a smart move.

Value aside - 100% do it.

5170g is a beauty - you can find many beautiful pictures on this forum. The 126719 is ("just") a GMT - much sportier and common.

I grew to enjoy dressed watches in general much more then sports watches - except maybe for Daytonas.

I’d keep the BLRO and get a ‘21 Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Chronograph Calendar. Something about the 5170, maybe it’s the proportions of the dial and subdials, just doesn’t do it for me.

Do it. The 5170 is the best manual chrono from Patek ever.

Yes, white 5170 is one of my fav watches ever. You can always land another GMT.
