Cars are considered vintage after 25 years and antique after 50.
Although, I don't believe I would categorize you or your wife as antiques. Great looking Tridor! The tapestry dial is a perfect fit. |

Then no watch with sapphire will ever be vintage ??? My Datejust of 16234 of 1989 will never be vintage ?? That answer does not convince me. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=458541 |

Many of these sapphires I refer to as vintage myself.

Can we categorize them as classics? Otherwise how do we distinguish these n previous versions. They will all b lumped together, no? I blame it on autoconnect. |

As do I.

After all, why should a 1984 16750 with acrylic and matte dial be vintage but a 1984 16760 with sapphire and a dial that has aged to semi-matte not? |

Killer watch. The tapestry dial makes the watch.
