Almost identical 168000’s can be had here in US for mid-$8K - $9K.

I can’t read kanji so are you chasing a strong dollar discount to ¥?

Nothing wrong in dealing with a Japanese dealer - but why complicate the buying process?

Not a reference I’m “up” on, but at first glance it seems like a legit example (based on attached photo- I’m not clicking the link).

Case looks decent and nothing is jumping out at me. Buy the seller, then the watch!

the link is to the retailers website, the watch they are asking is around 10k
but I can't find a good example in the US, with box and paper
many pieces without box and paper go as low as 6k

where do you find 16800 or 168000 as low as 6k here? I see them without box and papers from 8k to 10k here...

Are you planning to declare it to Customs on the way home?

IMHO Japan is expensive for used/vintage Rolex at the moment. Better to buy from a trusted US dealer like HQ Milton.
