Incomings

I went out yesterday to purchase a watch I have had my eye on for a few years. I sold my Seamaster several years ago and fancied a Speedmaster.
I had always wondered about posts about unexpected incomings, I now know how that happens. While I was browsing I spotted a Rolex 17013 just serviced with a 2 year warranty.
Well I am now the pround owner of a Speedy and an Oyster Quartz.

I have recouped some of my expenditure by renting the Speedmaster box out to young couple. Boy the box is big.

It always amazed me why the box was so big. Just give me a small one and knock 200 quid off the price. Nice pickups. Like the oyster quartz.

Just bought myself a Speedy Sapphire. So true! The box is enormous, kind of a neat presentation though.

Congratulations on your great looking Speedy and Rolex. I was just looking at a Speedy the other day and couldn't believe how big the box was, looked like luggage...ha! Speedy is a nice watch with a great history. Need to see the new movie "First Man" that is just released. Interestingly, I saw an Omega TV ad recently for the Speedy referencing the moon landing. Enjoy and wear them in good health. Cheers!

congrats on the boxed speedy! The loupe and the springbar removal tool that come with it are great. The tool is shaped like a pencil so you can really put a lot of leverage with it compared to the shortys you get in watch repair kits.

It is very nicely packaged, the box could be a tad smaller, can you imagine Rolex supplying a loupe with their watches the springbar tool is very nice as well. Also a nice choice of straps in the box.
