I actually want it legalized in my state, NY, so I can maybe buy some very high quality but low THC strain. I’m not looking to get blasted I just want something to smoke that taste better than tobacco. In fact I would buy 0%THC pot lol

I wish I could send you some of our Dutch quality

I love a good joint from time to time but I must say I'm amazed by vape, there's no smoke, just a great taste and it is just as strong.

That sums it up pretty well.

I really don't care either way. If someone wants to get mashed on weed, then good on them. The only thing I don't like about it, is that it makes people happy doing nothing, and doing nothing doesn't help us as a society.

I can't think of a single invention or scientific breakthrough that involved marijuana. Cocaine on the other hand had some of the best scientific minds firing on all cylinders. Francis Crick, for example, was on it when he discovered the double helix structure of DNA........

I have found that the flower vapes (like yours and the volcano) are preferable to the vape cartridges (liquid THC) sold here. The flower vapes are much "cleaner" so to speak.

Not a big fan of cannabis either but IMHO legalizing it will at least push out cannabis related criminals and to some extent reduce related crimes.

That alone I think is worth it, given how many people currently consume cannabis obtained from black market.

Awesome. The war on marijuana is stupid and all political bullshit anyway. Alcohol is far more damaging. And that’s coming from someone who doesn’t even enjoy the stuff.

Killing the black market is never a bad thing, and realistically most cannabis crime is related to it's prohibition so legalising it really isn't a big deal.

There may be a shortage of chips, popcorn, and other packets of snack food for a while though

Yeah I don't even bother with that oil crap, the only 'oily' stuff I touch is Moroccan hash

It might seem contradictive but cannabis is actually great for athletes, the thc and cbd are rather helpful on weeks like this when I'm running over 100km in 6 days, keeps me from being sore at all and I can give 100% in every training.

I don't like drugs, nothing good comes from it. Not an addict who did not start with this rubbish.

The positive attitude towards this decision from Canada here on the forum is something I don't understand at all.
If we can't win the war on drugs simply surrender ? What's next.

Maybe I am too old to understand.

Certainly you can grasp the differences in severity. To lump all drugs together is like comparing lightning and lightning bugs. They both light up (pardon the pun).

I am not judging others but not a fan of alcohol either. Like drugs nothing much good comes from using it. Lost relatives a long time ago to a drunk driver which is probably the reason why.
World would be a better place without. All the bar and street fights, broken families, accidents with root cause use of alcohol. Who needs that.

Prescribed drugs is a totally different story, people really benefit from these and the use of these should not even be discussed imho.

It's not about all "drugs". It's just about this one specific substance.

Alcohol is objectively more dangerous than marijuana. It's quantifiable but society allows it. We made those rules.

Peeople dont overdose from marijuana, or cause billions of dollars in damage, or get behind the wheel and kill others.

I have no stake in this but believing that alcohol is acceptable but marijuana is not is illogical.

Are there any members that live in Colorado? Id love a first hand account of how things have evolved since weed became legal. Collecting tax was a big selling point when it was pitched. Do you notice a difference?

Opioids and painkillers are responsible for so many deaths. If this gives people the ability to manage with a less addictive and deadly option I'm all for it.

https://www.cdc.gov/drugoverdose/epidemic/index.html

On the recreational level I have no problem with responsible use, as with Alcohol.

Sorry, this is wrong. People absolutely drive while high on weed and kill people. According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, 77 people died in marijuana-related automobile fatalities in 2016. During a survey done by CDOT, more than half of marijuana users said they had driven a vehicle during the past month within 2 hours of using weed.

I agree, of course, then weed is safer than alcohol, but to assume it doesn't have dangers is just not embracing all the facts.
