the Z serial was the transition from 2 line (non cosc) to 4 line (cosc)
you can find the 14060m with or without the cosc during the Z production..

The COSC 14060M's were only produced from 2007 until discontinue? I should know this but don't...sorry.

Yes, that's correct. The COSC certified version of the 14060M was only made for 5 years, starting with the Z-series... and the very last ones came with a Cal. 3130 with the Parachrom Bleu hairspring (seems to start around the G300xxx series).

I just joined he forum today as well. Does anyone know exactly when the Sub 14060 changed to the 14060M? I have one w/ serial P 22xxxx it has "Swiss Made" at the 6 o'clock pos. I read somewhere that a guy had a "P" serial w/ higher #'s ex. 765xxx and that his watch was a 14060M. I wonder if Rolex changed the model in the middle of the "P" serial #'s or 2000-2001?? Btw - love reading about Rolex's!!

Couldn't disagree more. I love the date bubble on some rolex models but on the sub, I find it stands out like a sore thumb. Plus as many have said, it's a utilitarian watch. You won't need a date when diving.

This is an old thread, but I guess it's never too late to express our appreciation of a timeless classic. To all the 'm' owners out there, enjoy every tick. I'll be wearing mine tomorrow !
