Rolex Datejust 1603 identification

Hello, I'm interested in buying this piece I found online. Does anyone know the authenticity of these piece and how to find out if it is authentic? It is a Datejust 1603 w/ a two tone Jubilee bracelet, with diamonds on the bezel and sapphire markings on the face. Thank you for any info.

Not sure if this helps but the nearest I found was a 16013 on truefacet with the sapphires but with the diamond dial. https://www.truefacet.com/rolex-date...one-watch.html

Thank you, any info helps as I rarely purchase Rolex watches. It's much appreciated.

The bezel was NOT made by Rolex and is quite incorrect for this model.

The dial appears to have been, at best, modified.

There appear to be a number of dealers particularly in the USA who sell (and therefore presumably find a market for) lots of rather sad, old Rolex that they invigorate / upgrade / bastardise / ruin (your choice) with third party customisation.

This forum has a taste for, discusses and rambles on about authentic, unmodified, vintage, which is not what you have here. That said, if you like this piece you should buy it, but from the perspective of this forum it will be difficult to get supporters.

It’s a real Rolex, but the dial and bezel are aftermarket. If you like it, buy it. It’s who who as to be happy when wearing your watch.

I don’t think the dial is necessarily aftermarket, but a modified real dial with the addition of stones.

Agree with others - bezel is after market. Dial ... don't know, definitely NOT 1603 (should not be yellow gold), could be redone, could be just diamonds added. How is it marked at the buttom? (SWISS T < 25 ... or SWISS MADE). I would lean towards redone/aftermarket, as I only have seen that color on 'purple/blue' Submariner dials.

Hands, could be Rolex, but not from this model.

Bracelet needs to be checked, as if other parts are not original to the watch, bracelet can be an aftermarket as well.

Case seems to be OK, would like to see the numbers between the lugs.

I ended up passing this deal since it isn't all original. Thank you very much for all of the info on it, I appreciate it.

Aftermarket bezel, likely band and altered dial
