Will solid link band fit a vintage Datejust?
Question for people more knowledgeable than I. I have a 1601 Datejust circa ‘72-‘73. I’ve had it on a leather band for quite a while. I took it off the original bracelet to keep the hollow links from stretching from daily wear.
Topic came up over solid link bracelets. Would the newer ones fit on my vintage Datejust? And if it would, how much would solid link bracelet run? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Usually not, the holes are in a different place and if you can jam one on there it wont fit properly. Put your old bracelet back on and enjoy, just keep it clean. Soak it in hot water and dish soap. Push it around after a few minutes and watch the water turn black. Repeat until the water stays clear. Wear it loose enough to easily get a fingertip between clasp and wrist.
The vast majority of bracelet failures are actually the springbars breaking. Make sure yours are new. Show us your old bracelet. :) This bracelet is 48 years old and is worn daily. |

Just wear it. If it gets too loose, you can always get MY to tighten it for a reasonable fee.

The new new ones won’t fit. For the 116234 etc.
However the 62510h will fit. They have been delivered to 160# datejust. |

Not true, I have a super jubilee with SEL on my 16014. Very tight fit but absolutely works
