Incoming 1964 Seamaster 30
My new 135.007-64 Omega Seamaster 30. Cal 286 hand-wound movement. Screw-in case back and all.

Thanks guys. I do believe it's about as original as a 50 year old watch can be. The movement looks SPOTLESS too. I was very surprised at this. The watch was sold as un serviced but the timekeeping is so close and that movement so clean, I suspect it was done within the past few years.
I chose a custom strap from Choice Cuts Industries. He's based in Charlotte NC, which is where I live so it's nice to keep the business local. His hybrid traditional/nato straps are right in my wheelhouse. This is what I chose, with a neutral stitch: ![]() I have a brand new 18mm omega clasp from Ofrei to complete the look. Back when the SM30 was sold, you bought the watch and then picked out a strap so I'm just carrying on the Spirit today. http://choicecutsind.tumblr.com

Nice watch, Joe. I love the simple look of the vintage Seamasters.

So I think I've been cheated. No way this is a 50 year old manual wind cal 286! It has to be quartz. Over the past 5 days I've been right at +/- 0 seconds a day! At estimate to whoever serviced it last.

Great shots of those cal. 286 internals! Is it still running spot-on?

Thanks guys, it runs flawlessly. I still can't detect a variation of more than half a second per week. It's the most accurate mechanical I've ever owned

Next is a 16550 or 16700. I have a personal milestone approaching and I'm going to celebrate with one or the other
