Question about Lange 1815 Up Down

Hi folks,

Does the seconds hand on the 1815 snap to 0/60 when pulling out the crown to set the time?

Does the seconds hand stop on 0/60 when the watch runs down?

It only stops on zero when it runs down the reserve. Mine hacks at the second mark it’s currently at when you pull the crown.

Thanks. Yes it looks like the ZERO-RESET is only fitted to the 1815 Tourbillon.

It only stops at 0 when the power reserve is empty.

The zero-reset you have mentioned is present at Sax-0-Mat caliber pieces such as early Langematiks and current Saxonia Annual Calendar, Langematik Perpetual etc. along with 1815 Tourbillon.

As mentioned, it stops the second hand at zero when the reserve is empty.

Not sure if it's related, but I've noticed that my 1815 U/D starts running again at the very first click when winding (I've even tested and it will run for 10+ minutes on that single click). Not sure if this is related to having a touch of power in reserve from the second hand stopping (potentially) a little early at zero but it's the only watch I've ever owned that does this. All of my other watches require between 10-20 turns to get the movement running again.

Probably not overly helpful to the conversation, but I love my U/D and can't resist jumping into a thread discussing it.
