Who's buying Octo Finissimo satin steel?

As the headline says, is anyone considering to get the newly released Octo Finissimo satin steel either black or blue dial? Imao they have now made the Finissimo automatic more mainstream with 100m WR and brushed steel. The previous versions were 30m WR and had quirky material and finishing.

I had the titanium version but could never bond with the grey and frankly too lightweight feeling on wrist. On the other hand it was very comfortable and futuristic looking.

The octo finissimo is one of the watches I'm considering! Loved it when i tried it on! Just not a fan that the stores in asia don't offer discount...

I’ve been thinking about it. I think the contrast of the black dial on the satin steel makes it more versatile than the originals, and 100m adds to the appeal.

Honestly my biggest hesitation is the watch is so suave, I wonder if I can pull it off :).

I like most of the line, I’d likely go for the ceramic or TI version, have too many SS watches.

Looks good in both dial colors. I wonder how this thing wears. I have a 6.5 for instance

I had one for a bit and I thought it felt huge for some reason. Might have been the width of the bracelet. Even my wife, who never comments on my watches, said "that thing is ridiculous" referring to the size. I have at least a 7.5 in wrist. Usual disclaimer - just my experience and others will feel differently.

Who's buying Octo Finissimo satin steel?

Hold on a sec guys! Regarding fit on the wrist, anyone that can wear a 40mm Rolex sports can surely wear Finissimo. What makes it look big is the wiiiide bracelet. Otherwise the lugs are non existent and bracelet goes straight down.

Here are some pics on my 6.5” wrist.

I love the original release, unfortunately I find it too big for my 6.25 inch wrist. Judging by the movement, they won't be able to down size the watch which is a shame... I really dig it.

Just picked it up today. Photos can't do the finishing justice. The brushing lives up to the "Finissimo" (superfine) name, and the polished facets catch crazy light. It's a home run for Bulgari.

Not a fan of Genta designs in general, but I sure like this watch

Here it is on a 7” wrist. Def not small but obscenely comfortable. I would definitely recommend trying it on first if in doubt.

I like it a lot, but I would probably choose the titanium version. I like the look, feel and its different from the steel watches I already own.

GMT Chrono was obviously larger on the wrist. So I did not purchase it that day. Was available tax free! Hoping they make a perpetual calendar next in a 40mm or under spec.

A little too much real estate on me. However, comfort is absolute heaven.

I definitely understand it’s as big as I’d prefer on me. You need to be up close to get a good shot with an iPhone but in real life at arms length it’s not even close to overhanging my wrist.

At least it’s flat, which gives it an elegance. When I tried it on and looked it over, it’s a piece of art and super comfortable. Just not my style.

Clear preference for black dial here. Steel version is certainly more elegant and eye catching than titanium but maybe it becomes too elegant, too common?

Hi Ed,

You seem to think this one works on a 6.5. I remain intrigued by the watch. Have you ever had a Santos large on the wrist which is also a square watch. Which wore larger if so. Your Recent pics make it seem like it fits.

Hi, yes I think it works and very comfortable.

Never tried a large Santos unfortunately. That’s the one with easy changeable bracelet and straps?

For me the Octo wears big but still small since it’s so flat if that makes sense. I even think I noticed that the steel is thicker than titanium version but could’ve been the added weight too. The extra weight of steel is appreciated. If they’d make it any thicker it will be like the regular non Finissimo version.

One last question. Is it coming home with you or what

FWIW, I have both the Santos large and the OF Steel 100. Here are pics of both on my 7" wrist for comparison.

It’s a beautiful watch. Have admired different variants in the cases at Saks. IMO it’s a work of art that looks better off the wrist than on. Maybe if made in a smaller size would click with it more.

I have to admit I have seriously been considering the OF 100 blue steel. I really hope it doesn’t wear big on me. The thinness is what I am really liking!
