Who Uses Easylink?
Just got my first Rolex that has the Easylink system and was wondering how many people use it. I adjusted my watch and consider it on the cold day (so shorter and tighter). If I release the Easylink, the watch becomes way too loose. I can't imagine swelling enough in summer that it would fit. Maybe if the extension was only half a link worth versus 5 mm then it would be more useful to me. But then again I have a smaller list.
So I was wondering if you do use it or not. I think I'm going with one setting year round. And for me it is on the shorter setting. |

I use it daily. The micro adjust is your friend as well for those fine tunes.
I set the bracelet tightness to sit just above the wrist bone. It feels snug only with my hand wide open / stretched out. For me that is all links and first micro adjust.

i usually size my watches so that i don't have to use easy link....
i normally use it if right after a hot shower perhaps i find if a size/wear the watch the way that I want to for 75% of the time....once i release the easy link then the watch size is too big (5mm is just too much) I think the easy link adjustment should be 2-3mm increments not 5mm but you live with what you have to work with right? |

Yes, it work well. I have mine set to be closed and on the middle position of the clasp. Watch fits as I like it, and on those hot humid days when I feel the watch getting a little snug on my wrist I pop the easy link open to give me the 5mm extra, as it was designed.
Generally it is closed unless my wrist and skin swell a bit. |

I use mine often, and I miss this feature when wearing my watches without it.

I use it, and I can't imagine going back to a watch that doesn't have it.

I have used it a lot over the years. Get fat, get skinny, travel to a humid environment, etc. it’s not something you’ll use daily but you’ll most likely find it very useful at times.

Before it was difficult to swap the watch back-and-forth when certain activities warranted it, but now it is easy and comfortable. I have it sized with the easy link closed for wearing it on my left wrist and all I have to do is pop it open to wear it comfortably on my right Mike |

Use it as other's said. Hot humid days make Easylink a must imho.

I use it often, not every day, but often.
Where I live ambient temperature varies a lot throughout the day, mornings and evenings are cold and during the day it can get warm.

As long as I know the easy link system allows for 2mm adjustments not only 5. Can’t you just do that? I mean notch by notch? Regarding the usability, I do so every day. I’m one notch wider when I wear my watch in the morning and then one tighter few hours later. This feature is just amazing. My watch is a diver so I’m not sure if it differs from the model you have. I use it occasionally, but wouldn't buy another metal-banded watch without some adjustment feature. It works really well my wrist swells. I wear my watches tight above the wrist bone, so when it's needed...it is really needed.

None of my watches have an adjustment. Periodically (every couple of years) I may need one adjusted.
That’s a quick trip to watchmaker and all’s well. |

I have it on my Explorer and DJ41. It’s useless to me. The 5mm increment is way too much.

Everyday and sometimes more than once. Have it on my Explorer and GMT II BLRO. It’s a great to have. If I’m wearing vintage I miss it.

Almost daily, much prefer the Easy Link over the Glide lock

Very seldom do I use it but that is because the Jubilee is sized correctly and so comfortable. The only time I do use it is when I occasionally sleep with the watch on my wrist and let it out. I do love the feature as it comes in handy on the fly and easier/quicker to adjust than my glide lock for my needs.

I use it, I set the bracelet to fit without EL engaged. Then, during colder (non active) conditions, I use it to decrease the size. Works for me. I don’t need it often

I also use mine very frequently. I think I have an odd sized wrist. When I bought my APRO 15400, I soon realized I needed a link and a half (which is about $300) to make the watch fit right.
It also took me several tries to get my Grand Seikos to fit, but some days they’re just too tight and I have to take it off for awhile. Maybe my wrist size is odd or maybe I just like my watches to fit snugly on my wrist. But without the easy link, I wouldn’t be able to adjust when my wrist swells. I hoped to someday get a white 5711, but I was always afraid I’d have trouble with the fit on it as well. Now that it’s discontinued, and since I’m not buying a used watch for over $30k, I don’t have to worry about it anymore. The lack of an easy link has also kept me from buying any vintage Rolex as well so that’s a plus. I would like a white OP 114300, but I’ll either need to add an easy link or hope it fits perfectly. |

All the time
In the warmer months it’s probably open all the time In spring or winter, closed but opened up if its humid / warm environment . Very useful but wish the Daytona’s had glidelock My old GMT’s are so light in comparison the clasp adjustments are fine for all scenarios |

Who Uses Easylink?
I size my watches with EZ link to wear snug proximal to the “wrist bone”.
Even in warm weather I don’t have to use it. I do however use it when I dive so that I can wear the watch over a rash guard, if I am wearing a rash guard. |

Yours is the glide lock system which is much more adjustable. Easy link is a snap hinge inside the clasp that lets the 12 o'clock side extend another 5 mm.

I use it about twice a year on super hot days, but even then it’s way too large an adjustment. 2 or 3mm would be better.
