I used the Easylink when I fly (which is not happening now given Covid-19 virus). But other than that I rarely used it. I agree with others that have said 2-3mm would have been much better.

Oh wow, so they are completely different concepts. But 5mm is too much then, the op is right when he asks who would have a wrist changing diameter thy much! Got me thinking now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just posted on another thread earlier. I hadn’t used it ever before but have had to now because of the WFH induced weight gain LOL.

I like a tight fit through the day. I then pop it open for bed time or trips to hot countries, amazingly simple yet useful idea!

I have very little flesh or fat around my wrist so though it does expand during the day it's never 5mm worth... I have on occasion moved my glidelock out a notch but never easylink.

It has it's purpose and works well but i personally like the glidelock better.

I think it’s a poor design as it’s just too much variation. I have it on my hefty YM2 locked in for normal cool use, but when I get hot the watch becomes unwearable, as it’s just too tight, but then if I release the 'easylink' it’s too loose - and I hate loose watches, particularly heavy ones.
On the other hand the micro adjustment in circa 2mm increments on the DeepSea is a great design and it's beyond my comprehension why Rolex don't put that onto all their heavier 'tool' watches like the YM2. |

The all or nothing 5 mm easy link is fine, but Rolex needs a mini glidelock clasp for its non diver sports references ... that would be perfection.

I have a glidelock and easylinks. So far the best adjustable clasp I've found is the one touch sliding clasp found on the new Omega divers.

I use it in the summer in my Yacht-Master. Very convenient to have that extra bit of leeway when my wrist swells with the heat.

Some people expand and contract more readily than others. I tend to, particularly when travelling (which has obviously stopped now). I like the Easylink and I use it. As well as expansion and contraction due to temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure etc., when I'm away from home I usually wear my watch 24/7. I will lengthen it when showering so that both I and the underside of the bracelet/clasp get properly cleaned and thoroughly rinsed.

I use it quite often. Usually due to temperature changes.

A Lange has an interesting system on their new Odyssus watch. Here is a video. It is at the start of the video. The rest is removing links.

I like to have it, but honestly don't use it that often. I find the Glidelock more useful.
Actually, at this point all my watches have glidelock. Hope to change that soon with an addition. |

Nothing beats the glide lock
It should be standard on every model The easy link just didn’t do it for me

I'd love a Glidelock on all my Rolex watches.

Only when it gets really humid in the summer but it works great when it does. Just the right amount.

When I had an explorer yes when I needed to adjust, but for decades most watches didn't have on the fly adjustments. It's definitely convenient but it should not be something that makes or breaks wearing a watch. It would be egregious if watches were made not to fit the majority of users sans those 5 permanent links on the 6 o'clock side of 5 digit Rolex watches (shame on you Rolex lol).

I use it a lot in the summer when it's hot and humid. I see you live in Chicago, give it a couple months, you would be surprised to see how much your wrist swells on a 90 degree day when you're running around.

I use it all the time, and LOVE it. My wrist seems to be constantly changing size. Some days I have to adjust it in the middle of the day if I notice it's getting loose. Sometimes I go for a few days or weeks and don't need to adjust it. I have not been able to figure out any pattern... Maybe it's salt intake causing me to retain fluids? I have very skinny wrists, though, so maybe that amplifies the effect?
In any case, I find I wear my DJ a lot more than my GMT and that's solely because of the easylink and how comfortable it makes the watch. -Dan

I have other watches and they have never had an easylink system. I have always been fine with the one setting that I have on them and never adjust in summer or let's say vacations to Florida. So at most I could see a slight 2-3 mm adjustment but 5 mm is just too large. But like what I have seen in the thread, maybe my wrist just doesn't change that much.

Never used it.
I sized my bracelet relatively loose to begin with, and I don't think my wrist size will expand another 5mm on top of an already loose bracelet... |
