Legit check- 1016 Explorer from 1967

Hi, hoping to get some help. Any standout flaws from the dial? Not a vintage expert.

Thanks so much. Yeah the 6 looks a little suspect.

The hands also bother me. Something really wrong with the dial. I’d pass

And I wouldn’t show the serial number on a forum.

The 3-6-9 look similar to what I have seen in the past. There are a lot of threads on this topic you may need to dig through the forum.

Tom is quite correct. These numbers were not only hand-painted, but the lume expands, shrinks, distorts over time.
Here's a selection I found in just a few minutes

Gotta disagree. There’s a certain ‘66/‘67 lume batch that will glow briefly. I’ve had three watches from that period, and all three glowed for a bit.

67 could glow depending on serial number

Looks good to my untrained eye.
The only thing that looks a little unfamiliar is the size of the lume dot on the second hand, it looks quite large.

Yeah it looks ok to me too. The puffing of the lume is a new one to me, but it seems legit.

after a quick blast of light my ´67 5513 looks like this... that's all original puffy lume goodness for those at the back who've missed the threads posted on this subject

Wow, amazing...is the pip original also? My 5513 from 1983 does not glow at all...must be some special lume!
