FSOT - Original 70's Eterna Kontiki IDF style
This is the vintage Eterna Kontiki Super that they modeled the recent "Special Edition 1973" after. I didn't want to deal with all the questionable IDF markings so I got a civilian one without any markings. I did pick it up in Israel for whatever it's worth.
Recently serviced and runs great (quickset date working too). I paid more to have it pressure tested and it passed but I would still be cautious and avoid diving with a 45 year old watch. It has a scratch on the mineral glass crystal and some scratches on the back where it appears some knucklehead couldn't get the back off. It's missing a lume plot by the "10" on the bezel and missing the lume at the top of the bezel. Other than that it's all original and running awesome. It'll come on a black nato. I know everybody says "unpolished" but I think this one may have avoided polishing in the past. I don't these were watches that received a lot of "babying" during their life and were tanks made for the water. This is a solid piece of metal. No box or paperwork but I'll include the service receipt. Case Diameter: 41 mm Case Height: 14 mm Case length: 45 mm Lug Width: 20 mm Movement: Eterna signed ETA cal. 2824, 25j hacking automatic, quick-set date, 40 hr. power reserve, 28,800 bph. Case material: Stainless steel Crown: Screw down Bezel: Uni-directional, indexed w/ 60 clicks Shipping at buyer's expense but I'll be in the U.S. during the second week of May and I can ship from the U.S. at my expense or FTF in the Washington, D.C. area. Asking $3100.00 Willing to PayPal for established members or else bank wire or cash. |

Bump...I'm actually conflicted about selling as I wear it now but I made a new purchase last night and I need to consider reducing the stock...
