Still holding with a long term view on this industry. They’re definitely on sale right now though.
Seriously. Double down now and make serious money if it all comes back. I’m sorely tempted.

Would you be so kind as to list the stocks you hold, if not your positions in them?

I was given advice by someone I trust very much. Definitely not buying any more and sticking with all blue chips going forward. Always a long term guy. I have learned that lesson.

Not selling any of these though. Part of me wants to. I would prefer to put it into more solid companies.

But if one of them explodes and turns into the Budweiser of the future, I would not forgive myself. I don't want to lose this money, but if I do, I am prepared. I tried and won't regret it.

I am not prepared to sell it and then regret it later.

Sold some of mine at a loss. Immigrants that are queued in line for citizenship may have difficulty obtaining it if are associated to marijuana in any way. As odd as it sounds I just don't want to risk it.

Yeah, I feel the same as you do, Seth. I've got a very small holding / percentage of my portfolio on HMMJ. This was always going to be a long-term hold avoiding the noise so the time horizon for me was at least a few years.

That being said though it's always painful to sign into my trading app and see it's almost always my only position that's down Since I'm invested for an amount I'm willing to take a chance on I'll see what happens in time.

I hope your blue chip picks do much better. At least you'll be collecting quarterly dividends as well.

I'm sorry to hear that but glad you followed your instinct. With something as important as that you never want to take a chance. If you were coming to Canada it might be a different story but always better safe than sorry!

yikes. I have not been watching.

was hoping this new post here was a notification that things were going super today. not so much.

imho, if you have some money to spare, and really don't mind losing it, its a risk I would take. i am not doing anything additional. as stated above...

keep in mind that I am very much a risk taker. so take that for what it is worth.

I’m more of a buy and hold kind of a guy. And not much of a risk taker these days, so I may not touch this one, although I do have some play money...

Doing the same. So far, a downhill ride, but my hopes are high [pun intended].

Or from the guy down the street.

Anyone that thought this was going to be an investment was simply not paying attention and they lost money, as they should.

Still betting there will be gains once banks can get involved.

66% of Americans want to legalize marijuana.

My guess is that once it gets legalized on a federal level, these numbers will change.

And getting it from the guy on the corner comes with tons of risk. the legal stores are fun, comes with tons of options and is much safer.

time will tell....

stocks are shooting straight north right now.

I don't really pay too much attention to it, I just noticed that specific account had a nice bump this am.

Anyone know what is going on?

Nothing major -- some analyst upgraded CGC and Aurora announced its exchange offer was accepted by 94% of shareholders (meaning they will be exchanging debt for shares (further dilution of common stock of course) so that they don't have to come up with almost 200 million nut when the capital markets are hostile to the industry. There was real concern they would not be able to refinance on acceptable terms.

Probably a reflection that sector was oversold more than anything else.

But I believe you hold SMG -- you should listen to their earnings call. Very positive outlook for 2020. This was the only one I suggested playing and it had a pretty good year all things considered. Hawthorne is picking up again, Sunlight almost fully integrated, and more importantly, the black market is coming back strong in CA which helps offset the cluster f*ck the legislature made of prop 64.

Oof I’m definitely playing the long game with these. October was a nice surge but now we gotta wait till everyone plays nice before we see anything good here.
