Patek Twenty-4 UK discount

My wife has her heart set on the Patek Philippe Twenty-4, although I have tried to steer her away from quartz and onto mechanical movement (there was a short time she might be happy with a JLC Reverso) she prefers the look of this watch and is not too fussed about the internals.

So it looks like we are in the market for a Twenty-4 but I am wondering on the price I should be paying at a UK AD. I have seen threads here saying 20-30% but this is US-based and am not sure if this applies at say Watches of Switzerland...
Looking at Chrono24 brand new unworn examples are around £8400 but this seems high (under 10% off).
Please can anyone guide me where I should be pitching my pricing so as to get a good deal and also not to be seen to low-ball the dealer?

As a secondary point, will the purchase of this watch hold any sway with procuring a SS Rolex from said AD? Happy to wait a little if I can get a Submariner at MSRP.. like I said this is secondary point as the main issue is getting the best deal on a new PP.

Thanks.

For the Ladies , the Quartz is great - they don’t have to wind it or fuss w it , imo.

in the UK i would bet its no more than 10% if that. Remember that a lot of UK buyers are not local and in London in particular so they get the VAT off so its already a discount. Also UK retail inclusive of tax is less than US retail including tax in USD so its already comparatively less expensive for buyers in the UK even before a tax refund

Agreed, UK discount (any) is very hard to achieve.

Or try a Patek dealer further north where they are a little hungrier for your business.Id be surprised if the discount was in excess of 10% even though these are readily available at most Patek dealers in all face colours.

Very true! My wife was a big fan of the Twenty-4 and I suspect that aside from the blue dial and the discrete diamonds on the bezel, it is the quartz movement that allows her to change watch at ease without having to put it in a winder or winding the crown.

For what it’s worth, I got mine for more than 10% discount.
