Opinions on this WG Day-Date

Please ladies and gents, I need a little help

Day-Date is the ultimate Rolex for me. I would like to own one sooner or later.

This has been offered to me for 12k usd. It’s a double quick-set, Im guessing ‘90s. I didn’t have the chance to take the bracelet off and look at the serial.
The bracelet has little strech on it, I think it’s missing at least a link.

Looks unpolished and the overall condition is very good imo but I hv little experience with DD so any input is welcomed.

I have been wanting to find an unpolished one my self. This is gorgeous. Sharp lugs you can tell. It’s a factory polish on the watch. I personally feel like 12 is a little high. I would snatch this up if you don’t!

Flutes look crisp. I would go for it.

Thanks. Condition is very good indeed but I would like to pay a little less considering that I need to buy another link and a service should be done at some point.

Show a sideways pic of the bracelet off the wrist so we can gauge the stretch

For 12k go for it. Older Day-Dates probably one of last value buys still left and iconic to boot

Looks Nice. If I was in the market for a WG DD I would buy it and have it rebuilt to ensure it is in top working condition.

Looks good! That’s a 18239 (just like mine, below) and think $12k is a fair price.

Thanks everyone for your opinions.
I’m glad most of you like it.

Btw, anyone knows the cost of a link for this bracelet?

Thanks again for all your replies.

It is a good example indeed and I have been in touch with the seller all this time. I offered 11k as the lack of papers and box would impact me if I ever want to sell it at some point in the future.
Also, I need to buy a link as well, and I have been looking on-line....these wg links are not that easy to find.

So, I hope to get it for what I offered.
Meanwhile, any input is welcomed....this is a big deal for me as DD is high up in my books. (financially and horological)

Hi gang,

I am about to close the deal on this puppy. Can anyone pls tell me how many links should the bracelet have?
Is it right that there are no micro adjustments on this type of bracelet?

Can the blurry cyclop be polished with polywatch?

thanks a lot

No micro adjust is normal. I have an extra WG link for a solid bracelet. I bought it for my 118239.

If you get the watch and need a link, you can PM me.

Good luck. I loved mine!

@bobernet

The watch is 18239. Center links are not solid so I don’t think it would fit.
Thanks anyway!

I think the link from the newer 118239 bracelet will fit the older band on the 18239

Thanks for the info.
I shall keep you guys updated. If the deal goes through tomorrow I shall stop by RSC to check link compatibility and cost.

It’s a nice specimen which you’ll def enjoy. Tons of fairly priced alternate dials out there too.
