Sandcrab, I have never seen an all RG yachtmaster with champaigne dial. That thing is an eye catcher.

We discussed this issue at the Orlando GTG yesterday. Rose Gold (Everose) will stay as it is forever. No degradation. True, the shade is produced differently from year to year, and model to model, but it does NOT degrade.

Hi Valentine I think if yours is older than 2006 then you will find a big differance in colour.

Am I the only one questioning the legitimacy of this thread? It's been two days and many questions,a nd still no response or pics. It's hard to imagine that Rolex's Everose will fade that drastically, if at all, in just 3 years.

There may be a difference in the rose colors, but I'd be amazed if any of the real stuff "faded".

Rose gold fades

Thanks all for your response. I was at the Rolex store at the Wynn Las Vegas last week and my 2007 President is definitely a shade lighter of rose gold, than compared to the new 2010 model Rose gold. There is a big difference. The salesperson was questioning my watch, if it was a yellow gold model that had a problem.
I will admit I wear my "Everose president" in the hotubs, and in the pools, but I didn't think it would fade so much. It still looks very nice, but just not as 'pink' or red as I wanted.
No question my watch is real, as I've paid to have it checked out by the local Mayors store (Florida authorized dealer) They appraised my watch at $21,000.00. I have the newer heavy band, with the solid-shiny style clasp. My watch does not have the Rolex name engraved around the inside bezel.
Thanks for your advice!

This makes the most sense.

I think you are correct about the redder look of the new PG Rolex models.

Well here is a photo of my 2006 rose gold watch, i compaired it to a 2010 model and mine was more of a subtle shade, personally i do not like too much copper in rose gold...

I bought my day-date in rose gold brand new from an AD in January of 2009. It has the new bracelet, and the Rolex inscribed inner bezel, the crown on the crystal, and now looks like regular 18K yellow gold. Not a hint of pink. I am disappointed.

To give you an idea how badly I wanted it to look different, I traded an day-date in 18K yellow gold and took a beating on the swap. Now it looks pretty much like the one I traded in.

Degraded? Well, it's still 18K gold, I guess.

But the color has definitely shifted.

I would agree. I can't see a 18k rolex fading.

Maybe if we had a nice close up of the watch without the sartorial distractions.

Note, I didn't call it fading. I call it shifting. The watch was decided pinkish cast and now is fully yellow, but not the yellow of a normal yellow gold. $24K at AD. They acknowledged there have been problems, dunno why we would question it. Rose gold has this reputation.

You need to post an actual pic. Everose is the same color all the way through. It would not turn from pink to yellow....
