Tool Watch

So I have learned here that working out with a watch on is for “tools.” But what about when you are in a hotel workout room, there’s no one else there, and the alternative is to leave your watch in the room?

Can I get an “exception?” Lol

Yea, that is the question. I tend to always wear my watch on vacation and do more cardio rather than lifting weighs on vacation. Typically I lift weights every day and don’t wear a watch but the fact that you are doing anything good for your body on vacation should be commended.
I had no issues running with my Sub and forgot it was even on my wrist once in my groove.

Nah. Taking off a sport watch for all activities is for tools.

OK I'll say it. My New Years resolution is to not work out in hotel gyms this year.

I remember seeing a thread once of wrist shots at the gym. I'm sorry, I just couldn't do it. I'm way too obsessive about not getting scratches or marks on my watches. I'd have a heart attack if I banged a watch on a weight bar or something Leave it in the room safe when at a hotel you maniacs!

Safest place is on the wrist - scratches are part of the deal....

I do the same, I’d rather it on my wrist than left in the locker

Far from a tool watch but there is nothing wrong with wearing some fine jewelry working out.

Ah, it was meant to be a play on words, since some folks had described people who wore a watch working out as “tools.”

No safe here so put it on a towel on top of the treadmill. It was just fine.

Im a mountain runner who travels with work, if on my travels I get the opportunity to run on trail or mountain, I take it.
I’ve ran some hard mountain miles with my Sub LvC, GMT 16710 & DJ. I figure it’s better on my wrist than in my glove box or gym room locker.

i usually wear a very light carbon watch with nato strap...but i dont like to wear a metal watch or leather strap...due to sweating. but i can say i don't really see a lot of people wearing watches at the gym. even if i go 4 times a year...usually they have clocks everywhere.
