This. But it means we have a shot at the 2017 Basel releases now!

Wait wait! Nautilus with a Salmon dual :p
They really need to scrap the pins. The bracelet is too flimsy without the heavy screws inside. That is what your feeling.

There apparently will be new but similar to the 5119 and 5296 models. I guess they are unveiling new movements. Replacing the 215PS with a larger manual movement and the 323 SC. Both new movements will most likely have hacking seconds and longer power reserves. Welcome to the modern era.

That would be interesting as they always claimed the lack of hacking was by choice, which we all knew was bs.

If the steel is a regular piece vs ltd edition, you think demand spikes

Of course they are wishful thinking but let’s be honest 95% of the current catalog doesnt sell so they better shift to more sport watch options

If there is a steel calatrava, whether regular production or limited edition, I think demand would certainly spike to some extent. At that price point, you’d be opening up to a larger segment of potential buyers who previously couldn’t get into Patek. And although not a Nautilus or Aquanaut, it would still be a coveted “Steel Patek”.

Eventually, by forces of demand, all stainless steel Patek anything will command a price higher than PM in the secondary market.

I meant without chrono, or maybe it’s my wish :).
I have serious problems with the chronos now, I don’t know why lately I dislike them so much, although I used to buy only watchs with chrono for a very long time of my life.... I don’t know what happened to me!

Would love to see-
-5712/1R
-5990/1R and 5990/1A blue and white dials
-Aqua similar to 5990 would be my prediction (both chrono and world time)
-Maybe we will get a new Nauti AC with different layout, similar to 5960, which would be a big hit, especially if they go for blue dial.
1 and 2 I'm pretty much expecting.

3 seems really possible

Two new movements would be nice. Hopefully with multiple Bridges to better show off the movement bits instead of hiding it all under a larger Bridge. Something truly Innovative and not just the same stuff we've seen for decades.

I'd rather have your clout with AP than what I do with my patek AD overall (not that I have as much pull, but getting to choose a basel piece for any given year is what it is )...
