As somebody who lives in that area I’m confused by your post. Why would you get jumped?
There’s nothing even remotely threatening about the areas you mentioned

Bluesy is my vote. It’s a very “Miami” watch and was my favorite rolex I saw in the wild down there last week.

Two tone sub is my vote! It will look and feel amazing in the Florida sunshine, especially when it hits that sunburst dial

This is ridiculous, don't you think? If you are "skeered", leave all the watches home and use your smartphone to tell the damn time.
Would you like me to be your bodyguard?

If you are worried about getting mugged (anywhere) wear a cheap watch.

Those areas you're mentioning I wouldn't wear any of what you are listing. You'll probably feel out of place with all the Patek and Audemars Piguet you will see walking around. LOL Just kidding! I've never felt a bit concerned with my SD43

Heard about these same "retirement home gangs." On the news, they advised to stay away from Panera Bread (often a meeting location) and any restaurants that offer early-bird specials.

I wouldn't worry too much about the watches. Eyesight seems to be an issue with many of these crews...

Florida is full of some very sketchy people. Criminals and people on the lam.

True story. there is a gal that runs around clubs, she's call the Rolex queen. she prays on single men with a rolex. She will make you think your getting lucky, go back to your place, slip you a micky and rob your watch and leave. True story, happened to a guy in the next building from me. From what I understand, she is still at large. This is the Fort Lauderdale area. but I'm sure she moves around.

Just got back. Wear the one that you like best and make some memories. Its not about the watch but the memories you make while wearing whatever watch.

You can wear anyone you'd like. Personally I'd wear the Bluesy like
Larry "Watchwatcher" said. It's Florida, it's blue and gold and just a
perfect combination.

As far as being safe, no worries... Enjoy your time
and don't worry.
Unless your planning on going into the sketchy areas around
Oakland Park Blvd or Commercial Blvd close to I-95 in Ft. Lauderdale
you'll be fine.

You won't get jumped wearing any of those in Florida. They are too common and not flashy enough.

I really wonder sometimes WTF is the matter with some people?!?! It's as if they've never walked out the front door of their house?

Probably safer in the 'urban' area. I don't feel so safe in those stand your ground sub-urban areas.

You can wear any of those 99.999% of people don't care and/or don't know.

I was in Ft Lauderdale and Miami last week with my RG DD40 and was never concerned. Saw plenty of high value timepieces on wrists all week.

Finishing up a month in North Port / Venice area . My Explorer II hasn’t left my wrist for more then a few minutes. Goes to the beach ,gym, Publix and so on . I don’t give it a second thought, but I’m always aware of my surroundings, and spent most of my career working in ghettos .

Also Fla ccw.

Bling it up, hot weather the stainless steel has to breathe
. Also bring a lose watch the water retention will increase your wrist size due to heat
