Paul Newman Daytona found in a $25 thrift store couch.

This may be a repost, but I searched and didn’t find anything.

Crazy unbelievable story.

Yep I remember this from several years ago. Crazy story.

A guy on here found a deconstructed 6542 in a yard sale several years ago, he paid $3 for it. It had the Bakelite bezel.

This is indeed a crazy story. The watch was a black dial Newman 6241. It was auctioned off for $191k back in the middle of June 2020.

We all love story like this, first thing I did is running to my couch looking for my missing 5513m/f...
The problem is that, unlike the lady in the story, my wife won't wait 4 years to clean under the couch pillows... :(

I found a vintage Blancpain Fifty Fathoms at a flea market a while back. Learned a lot about the vintage watch auction world with that one. Shark infested waters to say the least. I eventually sold it privately.

All I ever find in sofas are fugitive peanuts and refugee popcorn from snacking gone awry.
