Wish me luck...

I have an appointment at an AD tomorrow with an SA who has sold my coworker three Rolexes (pm) in the past sixty days.

I am looking for one of three specific watches with specific dials. One RG, one WG, one Platinum.

We’ll see how it goes... will report back.

I had a delightful discussion with the SA. We talked in detail about the four Rolexes I own and why I own each.

We talked in detail about the three I am after, and why I am after each one.

I’m going to come back to this thread in one month and post a follow up, as I won’t really know how it went until that time.

I wish you the best of luck in getting all the pieces you want.

Silly people have to go through interviews and play silly games to get a metal trinket....

At the end of the day...

One of the references I want, WG Daytona with Meteorite dial, is discontinued. No foul.

The Rose Gold Skydweller, I found from DavidSW unworn at a price better than the AD would likely offer.

The Platinum Day Date, I ordered from a non-Tennessee AD with a MUCH more reasonable (not 100%) deposit in return for indefinite delivery.

Their business model probably works very well for clients who's wives love 80% gross profit jewelry. Mine likes art, furniture, and travel... so I'm just not who they are looking for.
