BLNR or Bitcoin?

In this crazy world of inflated assets, where would you park your money?

A BNIB 116710BLNR for $16k or 1 Bitcoin for $8,100?

Park it in something that you can physically see or have in person.

Taking a major gamble with bitcoin I'd say.

2 bitcoins, right? I’d take the BLNR. Worst case you can’t lose and still get the fun of the ride.

Bitcoin is a pure gamble. If you're not willing to bet $8,100 on the Blackjack tables, don't buy Bitcoin.

IMHO, $16k is a terrible price for a BLNR.

Yes, agreed.

We’re not talking reasonable investments here, just insane ones

Lol agreed! I personally think 8.1k bitcoin is the more reasonable buy of the two. Technically and fundamentally I think bitcoin has room to run to at least 10k. I’d go long Bitcoin, short BLNR

I’ve gotta say, more people have voted for Bitcoin than I would have expected. I guess pricing fatigue with Rolex is real!!

You cannot look at watches as investments. You buy it because you like it and will wear it. Bonus if value remains same or it increases. Although yes prices has been high on some Rolex models but still it is a luxury item. If you want to invest conservatively then just do S&P index fund. If you like take high risk then Bitcoin. Its your money feel free to do what you like to do. But buying a rolex vs investing are two diff things.

BLNR is cool and probably won't drop below list price where the bitcoin can disappear tomorrow.

BLNR or Bitcoin?

Of the two choices, BLNR!

Neither.

Wouldn't have paid a dime over MSRP for a BLNR. The prices right now are just madness. The rational side of me says to sell, but I'm not in the business of day trading watches and needing to sell at the peak.

Might as well put your money on red or black if you're going down the Bitcoin route at this time...

I see no reason why BLNR won’t hit 20-25K within a year or two.

I would never pay more than retail for a brand new watch. The retail price is high enough for a stainless steel watch without any spectacular functions. Although at least you could enjoy the watch for a while. Even if the watch bubble bursts (which it will) you'll still have the watch to wear and enjoy.

Last year bitcoins were at 14k. Now they're 8k. I'd still be happy if I bought them at 1 dollar but I would be displeased if my 8k went to 5k and I had nothing to show for it.

While I was an advocate of bitcoin. I do NOT like like the treasury recently issuing a statement on Criminal/terrorist activity with bitcoin. They could put sanctions on any bank facilitating btc txs and its game over instantly.
