Oyster 6082 buying advice
Hi folks!
This is my first post so I apologize beforehand if it's in the wrong topic. Anyhow, I've seen a beautiful vintage Rolex that I'm thinking of buying, but since it's quite a lot of money and I'm far from an expert I thought I'd turn to those who are! So to my question: Does this watch look legit, is it original? |

These are great watches, a lot of fun, but not super-valuable due to size (34mm). This one looks to me like the dial may have been re-painted, which hurts collector value, but it is an attractive example, so the question is whether you feel comfortable with the price and whether you want it. The bracelet, of course, is not something any of us would keep on that particular watch.

Thanks a lot for the answer! What makes you think the dial is re-painted?
I like it a lot but since I'm kind of new to buying Rolex I don't know what's a fair price and what's not. This one they are asking aprox. 1800 USD for, good/bad/fair? |

I dont think the dial is repainted. It looks consistent for the hand block printing of the time.

The price seems fair as long as there is no corrosion around the movement when you take the case back off and if the movement is running good.

I agree wholeheartedly with offrdmania, I would expect this watch to sell for $1400-$2200 in decent running condition, a correct bracelet will be $350-$775, if you decide to upgrade instead of using a strap. I know that's a huge range, but some examples are just more attractive than others. I have a stainless with rose gold indices, figures, and hands on a repainted dial that is just so cute I wouldn't sell for less than $2k.
