What would you add to this mix?

After a long 3.5-month wait, I finally received my RG DD40 this morning.

I am thinking of adding one more Rolex to this mix. What would you suggest, taking into account the following criteria:

* no ceramic bezels:  for some reason, they've never appealed to me

* no 42mm or larger size

My first choice would be a YG Daytona solid black dial but it has been super tough to find one. So I have started eyeing an NOS pre-ceramic YG Sub black 16618LN that's available locally.

Look forward to reading your suggestions!

Great collection. Your RG day date with the olive dial is spectacular.

I don't really "get" ceramic bezels either.

Something steel with a blue dial would go nicely. Maybe a DJ or YM40 blue dial

I would consider a PM Daytona. Possibly the white gold / blue dial or rose gold / chocolate dial.

Great looking collection!

I would think that a rose gold TT YM40 would be amazing. Give you the sporty and classy look at once, great case shape, a new movement, and no ceramic bezel.

I think a Rolex Daytona or Yatchmaster should be a perfect addition to your collection.

The OP said no 42mm or larger, so gargantuan watches are a no-go.

Really Great Collection! and as you so clearly love PM pieces I would consider a white gold DD40 as you have the green dial with the rose (would have been my preference for the white gold) I would go for a more unique dial and choose the meteorite with Diamonds (if you can get a aesthetically pleasing dial pattern).

The other watch that I would consider is the full yellow gold Daytona with the champagne dial, Black sub dials and indexes.

Something with a different colored dial than any of those (excluding blue).

Yeah, in that collection, I think an M serial 16570 polar Explorer II would be a great fit. But yes, I'm a bit biased as well.

Bonus points - it'll be your least expensive take. Great collection my friend.

When you don't have an Explorer in the collection, the answer is always an Explorer :)

Yes I would also consider the YG Daytona with the champagne w/ black subdials. Just so difficult to land a YG Daytona at the moment.

Thanks for your great suggestion. I have owned both versions of the Explorer in the past. Loved the black dial more than the Polar. I just found the watch too light as I do have a preference for heavier watches.

For your collection and restrictions, I recommend:

If you can wrap you head around 42mm, I’d say blue SkyD.

how about the 126715chnr? Then you'd have 2 RG, 2YG, 2 SS and 1 TT.

Datejust with Azzurro blue roman numeral dial and jubilee since you don't have a jubillee bracelet watch in the mix and smooth bezel.

You need a Silver dial or a Chocolate dial piece.

Daytona Chocolate dial would be perfect!!
