Aventus Creed Cologne

Why so expensive? I am totally ill informed, and not hating. Just curious as to the price point.

Worth it?

No, there isn't a scent on the planet that is worth the price of Creed and some of the other over-the-top smells. You get it because you want it, not because it is a value purchase.

This is impossible to answer objectively. It’s a fragrance, you really like it or you don’t.

I’m not really a cologne guy but super picky when the opportunity comes to wear one. Special occasions out etc which don’t really happen anymore in the time of covid. Creed is the only fragrance I enjoy. Silver mountain water and Millesime imperial to be specific. Worth every penny imo. Unparalleled warmth and calming. Ymmv

Some components that go into high end fragrances can be ludicrously expensive

There are a lot of better options than Creed for less money, I own Aventus and do enjoy it but a bit over-rated.

It is a fantastic scent, but only you can relate on whether it's worth it's price.
Just as with most high end items, from cars to watches to handbags, and anything in between..

I really like Himalaya and Royal Water as well but longevity sucks.

Also a fan of Viking but people were split on that one. I thought it was great.

Erolfa is my favorite. Did the whole boutique thing and smelled about 20 before settling on this scent. My wife loves it and so do I.

I get it on fragrance.net for a fraction of retail.

Aventus and Irish Tweed are fantastic.

There’s also a website called scent split that you can get small vials of Creed (cheaper than the testers on Creed.com).

Glad I did. Tried some of the Tom Ford Ouds. Some are great but Ouds are so strong they give me migraines.

I have used only Aramis since it was released and my wife Cacharel Anais Anais and Paris.

Life must be simple in Oz.

I see Price Line has Anai Anai on special from $149 to $68.
Aramis is $39.99/100ml and that will last me >12 months.

Thanks for the reminder.

Adventures Creed Cologne is $439/100ml.

If you like ouds that don't give you a migraine, checkout Velvet Desert Oud from the private collection of Dolce and Gabanna, out of my collection below it is BY FAR my favorite, it is the one on the bottom left of the tray. Tom Ford Noir de Noir is a nice subtle oud too.

I did the whole Creed thing a few years ago, of course starting with Aventus. For a couple of years I was buying new scents right and left, then just like that I guess my nose changed. I find Aventus way too strong, I can smell it on someone 20’ away. And the expense? A marketing marvel but I would guess the markup over production costs is astronomical.

Aventus Creed Cologne

It is a nice fragrance and like most is, unique, so it’s not like you can get an alternative for cheaper. You either love it or don’t.

Same as fine wine, is a Chateau Lafite worth the $1000+ to drink in couple hours? Again there’s nothing else on the planet that tastes the same, and to some it is (myself included!).

Sure most people would think we’re nuts spending 10k+ on these little trinkets that tell the time.

As niche fragrances go its actually looked at as being quite cheap. I wear a lot of ensar stuff but only his lower end and mid tier stuff. His high end stuff is $5000 for 3 ml so imagine how much 100ml would cost more that some peoples houses.
