Hi. I have noticed that when I manually wind my 2022 OP 41mm that there is sometimes significant resistance and a click on the first turn. Only if you do it slowly. If you continue turning it is fine...if you then stop and turn slowly you might get more resistance and another click before it turns normally. I am not sure if it is a fault or an idiosyncrasy. I also think the resistance to winding increases as you increase the number of turns, but it does not become stiff or problematic. However I have not had to wind it manually in 6 weeks of wear and it maintains charge off the wrist over the whole weekend no problem. It lost 3 seconds in six weeks which is superb. I am reluctant to send it in as it may cause further issues (change in regulation, damage in transit, scratched case at the factory....) but also worried that there is an issue that I really should get fixed..... I would appreciate any advice please. So, it's not affecting the performance on a daily basis as I rarely have to wind it manually - but there may be something off there. I realise every movement has its own peculiarities and no two (even same) movements behave identically.

its under warranty, take it to RSC

As I said, sending it to RSC could result in bigger problems.....I just tried winding it many turns again....quite quickly (normally).....after about 5 turns, a click and then normal after that for many turns. The crown doesn't come off the thread too easily either.....so i couldn't make it happen again more than once.

Well it's definitely faulty as it is still manually winding now as you screw the crown in. 6 weeks old. Gutted. Can i ask any Rolex AD to send it to RSC? The shop i bought it from is 2 hours away......

You should be a able to take to any AD for service!

I had a weird click on my OP36 when manual winding, I sent it in straight away. Just send it in.

Thanks- it’s really bad now- doing it constantly - I think maybe it is the crown spring catching. Not happy with the crown threads either…..not smooth unless you keep pushing when screwing. Which would also suggest spring issue….it has to go in. Gutted. You wait years and spend a small fortune and it’s faulty. Thanks.
