Watch shopping in Madrid - photo heavy

Firstly, sorry for the quality of many of the photos. It's really hard to get a camera phone to take a decent photo in strong sunlight, through glass into a lit display case.

We spent a few days wandering around Madrid last week while I tried to talk the wife into a Rolex for her 40th. Long and short of it, I realised I was bullying her into something I wanted her to like, not what she likes. So she's sticking with Rado and CK, giving me more budget for myself!

Random widow shots.

This Vacheron really caught my eye, but the staff just weren't that interested:

I thought this was nice too, but it isn't really my thing:

A couple tried on by the wife and a TT bluesy I tried:

Some wrist shots:

So, what did I buy?

You'll have to wait for me to post the incoming!

To be honest, as they're out of my price range at the moment, I didn't really notice.

This thread reminds if me of watch shopping in Japan. If you're ever in Tokyo, it is a treat. For some reason in Japan there is an aversion to pre-owned watches (or so I heard). Second hand stores are flush with displays similar to the ones shown in this thread.

The way they display these watches, they really know how to cheapen it.

I agree with Vman. There is a building in Tokyo where a shop called Jack Road is located and there are LOTS of great watches all jammed in like in your pics.
Talk about spoiled for choice!
Also there is a chain of stores called Bic Camera in Japan which sell brand new only but in incredible range and numbers.
I've got to get to Madrid sometime!
