Is this dial legit or not?

Is this dial genuine?
Does it appear the lume is or is not original
Is the not radium indicating dot below the 6 o'clock indices ever appear on GMT dials?
I just bought this because I LOVE gilt gloss dials, but I can cancel if it is not a genuine dial.
I suspect it is fake and I will be cancelling this sale in the next few minutes, but on the ridiculously off chance that this is real and a rainbow unicorn is going to appear on my doorstep delivering me a 1000 carat perfect colored diamond, I thought I'd lock it up for the next few minutes.

Me thinks it is way too good to be true at this price

Way too good to be true for that price. In fact I don’t think it was even being sold as original, although the English is obviously hard to interpret.

It’s fake. Doesn’t even look like a real gilt dial, looks like it’s printed with gold colour paint.

The thing that is throwing me is that the text appears to be lining up exactly correctly, something I've not seen in any fake dial before. I guess they keep improving.

Here is a legit reference pic from

I figured as much. I just saw they have another listed @ $1800.

Too good to be true. I have more chance of that Rainbow unicorn delivery at my door today.

I'll cancel the sale now.

Take a look at some of the reference websites relating to the many variations of the 1675 dials, such as this one:

https://gmtmaster1675.com/underline-exclamation-point/

The dial you have posted from Japan doesn't have the same details as either of the two genuine types, so my guess is that this is at best a repainted dial made to look like an exclamation point dial.

There are a lot of features that look odd so it might in fact be a modern reproduction.

Sorry for the repeated information, cross posting while I was typing.

I just found the original maker of this dial.
It is a vietnam fake dial. Asking $950
So I am not interested.
I have cancelled the sale.

Thank you for your efforts.
I just found the definitive source and it is an out in the open manufacturer of fake dials. The one with the two initials as the name.

I know it’s after the fact, but for future reference, look much harder at the texts of watches. Compare the fake to the reference pic you posted. Look at where the second “F” in OFFICIAL lines up under the “L” in SUPERLATIVE on both examples. Not close.

It is a GMT1675 circle mirror dial, and the part with a dot yako at 6 o'clock on the dial around 1962 is also reproduced with a special redan, please use it as an original repair dial.

◆free shipping
◆Delivery to PO Box is not possible

That's his description. I think he is telling people it is redone when he says "reproduced."

For the price he was asking, you couldn't even get a service dial

The reference site is a little confusing. The MK5 example (with the Tiffany dial) is different to the MK5 example that you have embedded (which is also from the same site). See below another reference to a MK5 dial - it matches the Tiffany example but not yours.

https://www.windvintage.com/rolex-gm...k-5-unpolished

I notice the "X" right tail surpasses the "U" below in both the above link and the Tiffany dial reference according to GMTMaster site as Mark 5. Maybe they mixed up the coding? Can someone confirm?

Its definitely not a MK5B as a the "O" is oval not circular.

Well, according to my knowledge about GMT dials, it is a Mark V.

Feel free to check it right here...............

That dials been messed around with. Look at the lume at 12 and 9, it’s been masked.

I don't understand what you mean, I'm not seeing it.
Please clarify.

Are you saying there is evidence of a re-lume?

There’s evidence of masking lines so either re-lumed or had a paint touch up/matte coating applied in my opinion, hard to say which from the photos.
