16202 vs 15400

I recently received the 16202, it is truly amazing. Side by side with the blue 15400.

The 15400 looks comical next to the 16202. I would love to have a 16202 to go with my 15400

Drool....

The blue of the 16202 is simply so rich and luxuriant.

Congratulations!

Wonder if the new 15510 will be that same Blue as a 50th anniversary piece?

Thank you all. I thought originally the 16202 dial would be too dark because I’ve had the 15400 for six years and was used to the brighter blue dial. After a week with the 16202, I love the darker dial and much rather prefer the darker dial.

Very nice... I would pick one though, not sure I could get used to wearing a 41 and 39. Actually I'd get rid of the 15400. You now have the better proportioned iconic model and you can get a Patek Philippe annual calendar or something like that with the proceeds.

The size of the 16202 is more suitable for your wrist.
Congrats.

I prefer the 16202 over the 15400 all the time.

Wow, so nice! I'd sell that 15400 high while u still can, it's borderline big on you anyway and the proportions were always a challenge ..

Had a chance to compare 16202 next to my 15500 at the London AP house the other day and I must say I am not sold on 16202. While I appreciate the classic look and nice thin proportions I see why 15500 is the modern evolution of 16202. Maybe it’s because I’m used to 15500 but if 16202 came out as a brand new model today (meaning design and proportions, which are largely unchanged since the 70s despite new movement etc.) it would be a step back imo. Just my personal take.

That said, 16202 still phenomenal in absolute terms, and the 50th anniversary edition makes it that much more special. Congrats OP. Enjoy it.
