Hello there, long time lurker posting for the first time here.

I just bought the RG CS from an AD a couple of weeks ago. I think I got lucky that day, as the circumstance and timing resulted in an attractive offer from the AD and I couldn’t say no. So now I have my first Journe, and the crown jewel of my collection :)

It never even occurred to me to ask for a CB because it is the RG CS that I wanted; plus I already have too many blue dial watches.

Can other longtime Journe owners chime in on the reliability of these watches please? Thank you.

Agree with Shafran, CS is more me as well, also couldn’t get myself to pay 40k+ for another blue watch even though it’s very unique blue/black it’s still blue.

CS is a better watch with the very useful and handy power reserve.
The movements are the same.
Red gold will scratch easier than tantalum but it is also easier to polish.
The blue dial and the bluish colour of the case are of course the main strength of the CB.
Now is the CB worth twice the retail price?

Ultimately only your budget and how much you want the watch will make you decide.

Let us know what you will be your choice.

I bought my CB when it was 35k and CS was 25k (just 6 months ago!). I tried my best to talk myself into the “CS is discounted, CB trades over retail, almost same watch, same movement, get the value CS” but in my heart of hearts it was the CB that I wanted and CS would never compete. Ultimately though, movement aside, they’re completely different watches so the CS was too dressy for me to be a substitute. It’s wrist time would always be less, so I’d be happy to pay more for something I’d wear more. And as I mentioned in a long post here, the power reserve for me is a massive detraction for me as it ruins the symmetry by taking out the 3.

IMHO You are absolutely right!!

Collecting watches is all about passions. If you put monetary value on pieces then you lost the plot.

If one have to ask does CB worth 2x the retail.. you can easily buy a watch that can tell time for $50.. better still, you already can read the time on your phone.

Buy what you like. Life seriously is too short to compromise when it comes to our hobbies!

Don’t delay your happiness!

Does anyone by chance know the weight difference between the Bleu and the RG CS?

Getting serious FOMO looking at all the photos of the Bleu!

The CS plat is heavier, than CS RG. Bleu is made with tantalum which is a little lighter than both. But it terms of weight for a watch period they’re all light, since they’re all 8.6cm thin

How can we not like this watch...
An absolutely unique dial, thank you Mister Journe.
Depending on the light and the angle you use it goes from dark blue

To mirror like light blue

And the most amazing in my opinion: floating numbers with their shadow beneath it, a kind of 3D effects.

A pretty neat watch

Just got off the phone with Josh Thanos Aka watchbox.
Can confirm that the 57k was sold, next one he has lined up is going to sell for 60k. Won’t even be listed as there’s already a buyer. 75k is 100% realistic at this point

Also mentioned that all centigraphes are reaching new highs every week

CS Plat/Gold has become the only possible watch to get at retail but doesn’t think it’ll last much longer as there’s only a handful left

Ya didn’t talk/ask about the Octa

But the CS models are somewhat gettable in the sense you won’t need to pay over retail is what I meant, but again they (Govberg) see it eventually going over retail in next few months as they essentially control a large portion of Journe secondary market

He’s back with them, came back approximately a year ago, he's working from south Florida now, which is where he grew up...

The videos have stopped also, those that he made with his watchbox colleagues weekly about the trading room. I miss those days.

^ wow. So CB now in 5711 territory. More than 3x premium. I remember getting mine around USD22K back in 2018.

That’s pretty crazy. But they basically set the market and ratchet up prices with each new sale. Don’t get me wrong, I bought a 38mm Octa Lune from them in March. Easier to control what the secondary market is when supply is nonexistent and you control a lot of pieces.

The CB I bought in 2018 from the boutique is turning out to be the best investment I've ever made haha.

Now you just gotta HODL!! Could be one of the best ROI on a watch ever that sold for around 20k

Agreed, every week on YouTube Mike Manjos (their director) hypes up Journe. He’s not necessarily wrong, but it’s been going on for weeks now. Even people in the comments are like “still hyping journe?”. It’s 100% obvious they have a vested interest in the brand and obviously their prices rising
