Totally agreed. Also wondering if the new movement will still be produced by Renaud et Papi with the same level of hand-finishing as the 2121.

16202 release - what does this do for the 15202

I’d imagine it goes beyond. My company builds items that can costs upward of 5millions of $. Removing a step here and there can save a fortune. You free time on the employee in the factory, have less steps for them to memorize, etc. The repercussions can cascade in a ton of savings, unforeseen sometime. Who knows!

Yep and our beautiful state of the art Iphones are manufactured in China for high end execution and ultimate quality sparing no costs…oh wait a second!

Also glad my Royal Oak keeps on working when the new one is released which is not the case with my Iphones!

Interesting thread.

Not sure if anyone cares, but I just checked my 15202BC Jumbo (the full diamond one, white gold). It is a 2020.

It does not seem to be tripartite. What's strange is that I think do see a faint line on the side without the crown, but on the crown side, I'm 99.9% sure there is no division and it is conjoined. Unless I'm blind and my eyes are playing tricks on me.

imo, the quality control coming out of chinese iphone factories are a lot more consistent than most of any electrical hardware that comes out of the states.

So it seems the verdict is out. The price of a 16202 (if someone is selling) is sky high. The price of 15202 has been launched into the atmosphere at around 150-200k.

Maybe I missed it but I haven’t seen any 16202s for sale?

Well, neither have I.....But the watch ADs and other watch IG celebrities claim its north of 300k. I'm wondering if these numbers come from sales that are happening very privately. Not posted on the Internet.

That's great news for collectors. Hope you get one soon. I have the 15202ST and was lucky to pick up 16202PT. Quickset makes a big difference.

I have been fortunate to have been offered the 16202. I will be picking it up this week to add to the 15500. Can’t wait.
