Bluesy crown protruding?
Hi all,
I am really enjoying my latest addition to my collection a beautiful Bluesy. Just a quick question for fellow owners: does this level of crown protrusion seems normal? My Sky Dweller's crown protrudes quite a lot, but the AD assured me this is normal, not sure about the Sub. That, or my OCD is playing up again! |

It does seem to protrude a lot, also the gaps between lugs and crown are curious to say the least. You sure this one is authentic?
Attached is a picture of mine (126613LB, 2020 model) for reference. |

Maybe it’s the angle of the photograph, and although I don’t own a bluesy, I would say there shouldn’t be a gap between crown and case

I have a bluesy and a black SS sub. The crowns on both of mine are more flush than yours.

Two more close-ups, seems the last ring before the crown acts as some kind of barrier between the gold and the case?
Anyway, hard to compare with all the same model numbers on chrono24 since everyone seems to use the same official Rolex pictures, that just might be digitally enhanced a bit... |

It looks a bit funny, but the last metal ring separating the crown from the case seems too big to fit in the opening. This is as far as it gets without forcing it shut. I just wish people would post pictures of their actual Bluesy instead of re-using Rolex official pictures on chrono24. That would give a way better reference point.

The crown on a new watch should have some distance from the case when screwed in. This assures the o-ring is compressing. When o-rings get used they compress more and the crown screws in closer to the case. There's absolutley nothing wrong with your crown that years of wear won't take care of.

I bet one sharp rap from a ball-peen hammer would straighten it out.
just kidding. |

On my 116613LB the crown is flush up to the case, tucked under the edge of the bezel. It has screwed into this position since new. Your's doesn't look like mine, which is not to say yours is wrong. It might just be the way the tube was put in during assembly, a service or a repair.
