How many Tiffany and Co dials are produced?
Good day everyone.
Only recently got into hunting for a Patek, and I am curious as to whether there is a certain number per model produced with the Tiffany and Co on the dial? How does one ackquire one of these? I don't know if they are sold at the Boutique and you could pick it up if you are in luck. Are the prices for these higher because of this? Just curious is all. Thank you guys! |

You can buy them from the Tiffany Patek salon in Manhattan. Also a west coast shop if I'm not mistaken. You can have most any Patek with the Tiffany dial, some will have to be sent out to be "stamped." You will pay retail because they do not discount. I'm not sure Patek limited how many they can do this to. Frankly it's limited by the number of people who wish to pay retail

So basically; Retail for a 5712 with or without the Tiffany and Co on the dial are the same prices? Edit. Just gave them a call. Prices are the same. Waiting list is over 2 years, and 85% of their models are co branded. |

Tiffany's does not co-brand some of the higher end Grand Complication pieces. You can get the co-branded watch at at any of the Tiffany's retail locations that sell Patek watches, and not limited to the NYC flagship store.
I would not say that Tiffany's sells all their watches at the full retail price, but maybe that statement was referring to their NYC store. |

I have to say, I don't like Tiffany watches or care for many of their other products (and the cheapening of their brand), but there is something rather cool about having the tiffany stamped patek dials. Just not sure I would want to own one myself to be honest.

It may be stating the obvious, but just in case, for info Patek stamp the dials not Tiffany.

TIF discounts their PPs? Or, were you referring to the other watches they sell?

Timely discussion. I spoke to Tiffany in San Francisco last month and asked to be put on their list for a 5711. In addition to the obvious questions... Name, phone number, they wanted to know what I did for a living, how much $$ I make and how much I plan to spend with them in the next year. Needless to say I didn't give up that info and for the privilege of paying full price with their name on the dial I will gladly go elsewhere and maybe snag a small discount in the process. Quite obtrusive process IMHO.

As stated, the Houston Galleria has a 5712 (leather strap) and a 5726/A white dial and SS in stock as of last weekend. |

I would like to add that the Tiffany stamp does translate into a higher resale value as well. So, the premium you pay to purchase it does "pay back" on resale.
In my opinion, it isnt worth the premium to pay on 95% of PP which are heavily discounted but, for watches like the world time or even the 5711 where retail is the norm, it adds real value and collect-ability to certain models. |

First of all, Tiffany does not discount any model. Second, the added resale of a Tiffany stamp is very debatable. I've spoken to dozens of collectors and AD's and for the majority, they would not pay a premium for a Tiffany dial. Tiffany likes to "sell" this when customers push back on paying full retail but I've spoken to those that would not pay extra for a Tiffany dial in the secondary. |

For some people the co-branding is worth it and they'll pay for it. For me, it's not worth it as I have bought my current three from a different retailer and any future purchases are helping me get my enamel World Time.
